soil to areoponic setup

can i jus take my plants that have been in soil and switch them over to a aero/hydroponic setup without any problems or do i have to do something first and what would be the benifits growing in a aeropoic setup

my first question would be why? people dont go from soil to aero only from aero to soil... i guess you could cut the roots down to an inch or so, hose down the rest and let them grow back without all the soil... dont recommend it.:idea:

i started to grow in soil and now i got all the shit to make a aero/hydroponic system and figured it would be a lot better then growing in soil i just wanna know if i can transplant the plants from soil to aero without any problems

you can take a stab at it..i know some people that have went to ebb and flow from soil...stressed the plants out but they came back for a full recovery if i would say so myself
