Im using Miracle grow but really don't like growing in it. That and some regular dirt mixed with miracle grow. I've also heard some good things about Peter's soil.

The thing with miracle grow is that it is time released. So your plants will be fed for up to 3 months. So watch out for nute burn and what not.

Hank.

i think you should try and use westland west + soil really good stuff hold water well and drains well,
it holds just enough not to make the roots rott.
there is mixed views on this stuff but i only know success from it
hope it goes well

I'm a newbie myself, but ater reading a lot on this forum and others.I changed from Miracle Grow to a 50/50 mix of Perlite and "Back To Nature"composted cow manure. The link below provides excellent info on perlite and indoor growing. One drawback is that perlite is very dusty and you would need to mix it outdoors. You may have to go to a nursery to get these items.good luck

you cant go wrong with foxfarms just mix in plenty of perilite because it does dry out quicker than some other brands.
