anyone have any ideas / suggestions on how to quickly dry out soil?

I made the mistake of not noticing the drainage issue for a few days and one of of my pots retains water like a sponge! I havent watered said pot in 7 days and the soil is still WET not moist, not damp, but completely soggy. temps are great when lights on (75) RH is around 40. only about a week left to go, but im affraid if i cant fix this, i wont be able to flush properly.

Keeping the humidity down is a good start. If the soil is still moist after a week, you probably watered it too much. The light you use can also play a big roll in how fast the soil dries out.

also, add some fans.. even if you have one going, the more circulation of air, the faster the water will evaporate form your pot. same with heat.. the more heat, the more water will evaporate.. don't want too much heat though or u will get spider mites..

yea bro, light is a big role in how often you water...also, how big the roott system is compared to the pot...but for this guy, i say just stop watering till the plant is begging for it...youll be straight:leaf:

Why isn't your soil draining? One thing that will absolutely help you in the future is to pick up some perlite and mix with your soil. This will help drastically in the drainage and breathing of your plants roots.
