Soil recycling process

Hey guys, I've got about 18G worth of quality soil that I'd like to re-use in my indoor grow. My plan was to mix in a yard's worth of fresh grass clippings, veggie scraps, some dead leaves and let it cook in a black garbage can for a few weeks making sure to rotate it a few times.

I figured I'd ask if anyone else has a process specifically for re-using soil for an indoor grow. Anything to avoid to ensure I can put it back to use within a few weeks?

to add a composting procedure would slow it down a bit, probably would need at least 45 to 60 days.
if the soil was built well, I've found that the second run is the best, may not need to add anything, depending on the size of the container, strain, and growing techniques.

If the soil was previously bagged and you only did a single run with it you can probably get away with doing much less than that. Grease is right it will take a long time to break it all back down especially if you add a lot of uncomposted material like veggie scraps. Some green material is ok and will disappear fairly quickly but adding a lot of grass clips & leaf will take time.
I would forgo the grass clippings and kitchen scraps and instead add some canna-leaves and worm castings; possibly a mineral or 2 like soft rock phosphate and garden gypsum and let it set for 30 dayz. Oyster flour is good to help regulate ph and doesn't need cooking time. Neem seed meal is another good additive that has npk plus helps control pests.
