Soil questions

I've used it and found it hot. I wouldn't start young plants in it. Put the OF on the very bottom of pot and use light warroir for a few inches above the OF. Let your girl gradually acclimate itself to the hot shit. I do it Every run! Just not with fox farms. Same idea though. Good luck!

I've seen several threads on this in the past few months, that came to the conclusion it was the soil, but I'm a MG user without problems, so IMHO, it's another case of the owner, not the gun.

I've never had a problem with it. But of course I water with PH'd water each time and don't feed for at least 30 days but none the less I've never burned one.

im using it at the moment and havent used any other soil. i notice some burning on my 2 girls that are only about 6 inches tall. but i think the burning is from the clinic that i got them from because ive only had them for about 3 days. but they must of dumped everyting they had on these poor girls cuz they were fried. i xplanted them into the FFOF and i hope they settle nicely. ill be lookin on the new growth.

that raises a new question for me;
do burned leaves ever go back to fully green leaves if you've solved the probelm? or will they stay burned and you just have to look at new growth

Burned/ damaged leaves will NOT "heal", but in the case of over feeding, or PH off, once the problem is fixed, there should be no more new growth with the affliction, and the problem should not continue to existing leaves......... That's a sure way to know you have remedied the problem.

I've got seedlings and clones going in OF now. Soil does run hot so I usually don't start using nutes until they are well established.

I'm using it now bro! Every plant that I have is sitting in it...Look at my latest post and you'll see 6 healthy seedlings gowing in FFOF with not a TRACE of burn...
I got into with some guy saying it wasn't organic and it would burn seedlings and was shitty soil blablabla.....Uff that guy...
If I can do it...You can do it...
Look at my grow

FFOF is LOADED with things that cannabis loves. LOADED! Just look at what the bag says is it in.....

NOW....I've amended my last batch of FFOF lightly with about 3 cups in total amendments, and didn't notice any yellowing until around day 49, which suggest I can add a little more. This time around I'll be added say 4-5 cups of amendments, and letting it sit for 30 days before use. <-IF YOU DON'T DO THIS...YOU WILL BURN YOUR PLANTS! THIS IS UTTERLY IMPORTANT! I've burned plants not cycling my soil my first grow...Hasn't happen since.

After 30 days of sitting and watering and turning maybe 1 or twice a week, your soil will be ready to go with seedlings, and it'll be amended so that they have access to a buffet of foods, given the seedling a jump start...Look at a coupe of mine after about 1/2w....

Ppl fail and say something won't work bcuz it didn't for them....And i just bought my second 1.5cu bag of FFOF today....

Only thing I'll say it to amend it....Make sure you cycle it....and def. add perlite too it! Do those things and everything will stay green bro!
I'll be mixing my soil tonight or tomorrow, so feel free to hit me up as far as what I know
:joint:

*just got everything and am about to start mixing tonight

It can also vary by strain. I've got 4 plants going in OF right now, two clones and two seedlings. One of the seedlings has small tips of yellow at the end which is the first time I've seen nute burn from OF. Going forward I'll probably mix in some FoxFarm's Light Warrior soil when starting my plants.

If you have burnt leaves, should you leave them or should you pick them off? They can't be doing much, can they?

Or just water the FFOF, and let it sit for a bit. I've got 6 seedlings started in FFOF. Not a pinch of yellow
