I am an ebb and flow grower, but with temps in my area creaping to 90+ degrees outside and i grow in my garage that reaches almost 10 degrees hotter ive decided to do a couple of soil grows to get me to the cooler months.I followed a friend of mines directions on making just a peat 2/3 and perlite 1/3 combination. My problem is my soil runoff is 3.5 using flora nova grow chemicals.Ive been researching how to adjust the soil ph without having to repot my plant.I read in some other forum to add the ph of the nute solution before its poured and the runoff after pouring then divide by 2 to get an average ph.The answer needs to be somewhere from 6.2-6.5.As of right now ive added nutes at ph 8 and runoff is 3.5.doing the math above i get ph 5.75.So if i bumped my nutes to ph 9 i should average out to 6.25.
I have two questions.First,am i on the right track?
and second, will my soil ph rise after doing this for a period of time?
