Me and my roommate have been doing alot of research before we set out grow room up in our new place, but we cant agree on a medium to use. He is dead set on Hydro and im the opposite. Is there a huge difference between the two, and what system would be easier to manage

If it's your first grow, I heard soil was supposed to be easier, but..
I'm on my first grow and I'm using hydro and I don't think it's that hard.

When I think about it..
If I had used soil it probably would have been a bastard for me.
I also think hydro is cleaner but that just my opinion because I've never use soil.

Soil is the way to go..... I feel its wayyy easier to manage than hydro.... hydro is more expensive. u have to constantly monitor it.....imo

I didnt try soil because I wanted the best shit and i wanted it fast. Big mistake, its put me back a lot of money, and a lot of things have been wasted, such as expensive nutrients. I havent had a plant live past 6 weeks of flowering in hydro. Theres always something. You have to have so much time dedicated and you cant ease up on attention. Im growing one indoors in soil now just because its guaranteeing me some smoke. No diseases or something getting in the res. But my main problem was the fact i had a pump, that can be a helper for many problems. So if you do hydro (which is very generous in giving back in the long run if you finish a harvest) then do a DWC set up. I wouldnt recommend starting with a drip feed or flood and drain. Just a big container of clean healthy water with some oxygen for the plants to drink from.
