Soil or Hydro?

Gonna be my 1st grow and was leaning toward a soil grow probably use FF soil. But have heard many good things about hydro, what do you guys think is the yield worth it in hydro or can I grow in soil and produce (close) same amount of bud? Gonna be growin under a 600w lumatek ballast and ac hood (radiant) MH for veg nd HPS for flowering. Opinions?

Depends on how much you want to grow, how much space you have and the like. I decided to go hydro because I have a really small space and SoG was the way to go for me.

I was actually planning on doin a 6 site bubbleponics system but I dunno. Do you think I should squeeze more in there or is that good for that much light? Also what kind of nutes are you using? I've got some sensi grow a&b from AN but there line is so expensive I was thinking about buyin some stuff from GH. Also could I use up the sensi grow then use a different bloomer? Jus wanna use what I have.

Im gonna be growing in then secret jardin darkroom II. The dr120 dimensions is 4x4x6.5. How could I get the biggest yields with this space?

Awesome strains, with awesome nutes, awesome lights, and awesome conditions.
What kinda nutes would you suggest? I dont wanna go cheap but I don't wanna spend 200+ dollars on AN nutes when I can get the same yield from a different brand for much less money

SOG is better for clones tho correct? I wanna start from seeds from start to finish then my second grow I will carefully choose my bonsai mother and root a ton of clones so I can use the SOG and not have to worry about sex. Plus seeds seem like they are to expensive to use in SOG, clones seem the way to go.

For my first grow I decided on soil, and then moved to hydro. I think soil is a much easier and forgiving medium for the first-timer, but yields can be smaller compared to hydro. Also, you are concentrating on solely the plants themselves and what their needs are. As opposed to hydro, where you need to be on top of PPM, and changing nutes every week. I think ultimately you should go to hydro, but for your first time stick with the tried and true Mother Nature's recipe: soil.

Good luck!

I SCROG during the winter.6ft X 4ft.I grow Shoreline and its perfect for SCROG.I think I have some pics on here of one or two.I can only fit 3 in the room and it fills the room, all the buds the same size,Fukn Badass.

I prefer hydro as well and will be switching to it soon but I went soil for now due to financial and experience reasons. I thought it would be easier to start with soil first! That said I had very nice results with Biobizz and people seem to like them in general, plus they are easy to use.

Well, I'm gonna be using the Pure Blend Pro Grow/Bloom. Never tried it before, but it should do fine for me.

Thanks hs, if you don't mind me asking what kind of ppm meter do you use? They seem to run at about 80$. Do they have cheaper ones that are just as accurate or should I invest in a good meter.

I'm still trying to understand the scrog method, I understand you use a screen or net and your buds go through it but what is the goal? And do you remove lower branching so your plant directs it's energy to the top colas.

Thanks for the input bro, nd btw nice grow! That hawaiian snow is lookin good! Did u add any cfl's? Cause ur son agro looks like it lacks in the blue spectrum a little, well it is a hps :P
I heard the combination of MH nd hps at the same time through both cycles will make for some killer buds.
