just seeing what this community has to say about this stuff im an organic head too.

is this organic, not technically i know but is it safe to use in an organic soil environment?

is there a better/organic product than this that does the same thing?

im planning an outdoor crop in pots and ide like to not have to water twice a week. smartpots in buckets if that helps.

I haven't used that brand before, but it looks like a common silica gel. These work by absorbing water (and nutrients) and releasing them slowly. I doubt it's "organic' in the technical sense, but hell, if it helps you conserve water, go for it.

I've seen growers use these before. I even seen these features on the news. From what I've learned you apply these once a year, and apply them very sparingly. They are not 'organic' per say, but they don't seem to add any harmful chemicals either. I seen this stuff sold at Osh, but it's a little expensive. I haven't come across a single article that says anything negative about their use. And they've been around since the 70's. If they were harmful, we'd know about it by know.
