soil grow log and nutrient advice needed

Funny, here in da USA, BBC shows are packaged on Public Television as something called "Masterpiece Theatre". All the Public TV snobs say, "Theydon't make TV like this in the USA." :-)

No shit man, horses for courses i guess. My missus just loves, coronation street, emmerdale and eastenders. That is my idea of hell, its too close to real life. When i watch tv i watch to escape the mundane shite that life throws our way, not relive the crap lol

bio bizz not for me,I did not get on well with this.
cana was nice for me.
Diamond black must look that one up.

Would you use molasses instead of canna boost? Im using terra flores, maybe boost or molasses, and pk13/14 which makes a big difference. Might give them a dose of Nitrogen half way through flowering if they show any N defficiency, pretrty simples like you say.

No. Use the Canna Boost and add molasses later!
N should not show any REAL def. I would venture that what you might see as an N def is really elevated P&K levels! That CLOSELY mimics N def. Adding extra N will only get you N tox. and you DON"T need extra N at mid to late flower. The elevated P&K will be ok, just run out.

Molasses; If you want to run some molasses, run it in addition to what your running now as an "amendment" and be sure it's the "unsulfured" type and just add 5 - 10ml per gallon of feed solution. I use "High Brix" (made for gardening and my results are the same as food grade) as it's cheaper in the long run over human consumption grade molasses. Add at around week 4 of flower and run till wash.

Cheers mate that sounds about right. After reading uncle bens thread.. [h=1]The Never Ending Abuse of Phosphorous (Bloom foods) to Enhance Flowering[/h]I thought i would give higher doses of N to maintain healthy leaves throughout, healthy leaves = healthy buds. I will have to look into the NPK of canna products and keep a close eye on my babies, for any deficiencies. I will only start on small doses, doubtful i will ever over feed.

Will deffo use the boost then and look into molasses, ive heard it fluffs up the buds though, and people use it to enhance yield, not necessarily quality? any truth to this
?

It does add a Quality factor in my opinion. Improves flavor. It adds "sugars" that the plant looks for in flower to produce strong buds.
Not needed but in years of growing I find I like it better "with" then "without"....Organic too!
The use of molasses is a very "old school" trick.

Grow on man

Well i noticed the top of the soil was a bit hard yesterday, ive been underwatering them. However for such small bushy plants ive never seen such thick stems. After only 3 to 4 weeks from seeds looking really robust and healthy, i cant recommend this canna terra professional soil enough, not to be confused with canna terra professional plus which has no fert whatsoever.

Ordered the canna flores today, will use 1 week after i switch 12/12 am switching in another week ..dare not leave any longer as they would be utter monsters  and too much for me to control.

With regards to the molasses, im going to skip it this time, and stick purely to canna products. flores/boost and pk13/14. This way i get to see the results using theses products only.

I was told by the guy in the hydro shop that canna boost is just watered down black stap molasses, how true that is I dont know, if someone does know please point out! Alot of people have told me to ditch it and its a waste of money although I got pretty decent results using it!
Im gonna probably use both again when I go into flower.

Regards sold

Boost contains...Molasses (carbs A & K), Corn steep liqour (adds N & amino acids), soya lecithin (emulsifier/nute), asperin (salacylic acid), Triacontanol which is a fatty alcohol also known as mellisyl alcohol or myricyl alcohol found in plant cuticle waxes, in beeswax or in alfalfa meal.

Or so they say :?:
