hey, I was wondering if 2 125w cfl lights on a light mover would be good for a 2'x4' setup. It would be a SOG/ScOG set up

thanks guys

Don't listen to the above tool, people have grown over a zip with 4 23watt cfls in a pc. People who have never grown with cfls, have done 0 research on cfls grows, or are lazy growers when trying cfls all seem to bash it. Even though there is a tons of proof it is viable for micro grows and the most cost effective.

imo, scrog would work better then sog. Also if you are going the cfl route, I would think 250watt of smaller bulbs (ie 11x 23 watt) would work better then 2x 125 watt.

1. You can then put equal lighting across the scrog canopy if you do it right
2. You will get more lumen out put since the smaller bulbs put out more lumens per watt.
3. Smaller bulbs will put out less heat and the heat will be diffused through out the whole tent not centered wear your big bulbs are moving on your light mover reducing potential extra stress on your plants.
4. Don't know how much a light mover would cost, but the smaller bulbs would eliminate the need for it as well.

good luck

A light mover is a few hundred, its good for cutting down the wattage you need (instead of 2 1k watt lights you could use 1 on a mover

I use two 125 watt cfl bulbs for my ScrOG, and I think the results are great for the initial financial outlay. I built a crappy light holder out of wood and stuck some mylar over the top of it. I move the bulbs up and down with the use of easy rollers. I grow a single plant at a time, and yield between 2 and 3 zips.

Check my sig for pictures of my setup if you're interested.
