soooooo SoG, how are the babies?

do you like the rhizotonic?

can you see results already?

i finally got around to install a much needed
drain, sink and water line all the way to the attic
it just got to be too much hauling water back and forth, balancing on a ladder
draining the dehumidifiers and filling up humidifier, not mentioning all my res swamping
ill be able to move my RO to the attic now, lil less back pains before bedtime

most of the girls are doing well so far, few are going to be late bloomers
I'm going to move them closer to the res, keeping the tall ones towards the end
two days ago, i pulled one girl out to look at the root development
i almost passed out, kudos bra

2 questions for ya boss... is a 1/4hp chiller enough to make a coolbox with for my exhaust air? and... how difficult/expensive would it be for me to build a fusebox in my grow room and run power to it from the main supply in the house...

As of now i have to have extension chords running into other rooms because I'll pop a curcuit if i have everything pluged in one room. I'd like to get rid of the chords running all over the place for safety and to make it look a little less obvious whats going on...

Also, I wanted to thank you for all the amazing information you've made available and your willingness to answer questions. My opp currently is very much inspired by your thread and hopefully if things go well i'll have something similar to your attic grow in the future. I'm really diggin the whole intellidose/inteliclimate thing.

Ideal water temps for EC measuring are 68-70f
makes sense now why my ec measuring device has a temp measurer :D

cheers... wont be needing it till i use some other nutes... i cant use the ec with hesi soil nutes.. :S

right on Mitus
the answer to your first is possibly,
it depends on how much heat you got to remove
in other words what lights are your running, and what is your ambient temp

building a load center or power box is very easy,
copy and follow the wires in my pics, your coats should be around $80 per completed box

hey sog, i'm glad you are looking into cooling your reservoirs. i hope our conversation about daisy chaining reservoirs got you thinking about it .

the way i see it is the plants can take 85-92 degrees, the nute soup likes 68-70. therefore it makes more since to use your energy in cooling the reservoirs rather than the air.

are you thinking about running 6 of these "wort" coolers in series? whats your plan?

lol somebody obviously isnt reading
thanks for that...
let me rephrase my question....
i'm asking how these wort coolers work. there are 2 inputs and 2 outputs on the coolers, couldn't you just use a chiller with 1 input and 1 output. so do they sit outside of the reservoir or inside? how many pumps will you need? etc...

what do you think about setting a garden hose in the reservoirs? seems like an easy, cheap, non-corrosive solution.

there's an inlet and outlet to these aluminum cooling blocks
they have internal tunnels from the inlet to the outlet
the cold water that runs through them, cools the block
as aluminum conducts heat and cold evenly across its surface
this cools the water its sitting in, usually used for small reservoirs
you will also find then in a coil shape inside beer coolers or carbonated drink dispensers
they are usually make out of soft cooper, which is it the lower form of wrath chillers

not advised to place cooper in your res, these are made of stainless steal
and will take the salts and harsh conditions where the copper will corrode

any way, you'd Daisey chain them back to the res as a single closed loop
only one pump is needed to circulate the water through the chiller and through the loop
the loop starts at the outlet of the chiller runs through the Daisey chained blocks then end's at the res
where a pump pushes back into the chillers inlet to start the loop again

they are expensive though, the terminator runs about $200
the Shirron is around $100, they each perform acurding to their coast

From what I've read and it's not a lot,the shirron isn't that far behind the therminator. But since this is something completely new to me I'll just say I'm looking in to this tech.
Thanks

SOG.. you oughta move up to AK...

Your op would cost about half to run...

No cooling devices... maybe a heater or two though...

I'm new to this myself, learning as i go (as with most things)
the Shirron has half the performance the Terminator has!

i was under the impression you're about to have same heat issues :o

i guess you changed your mind :-(

Summer's over Bro...

The Sun is already setting... Winter's coming...

Every tree around already has yellow leaves...

Today's drizzly high was 45F...

I'll stress over heat again next JULY...

Every time it snows in the hills, it gets a little lower...

By Halloween we should have a foot of snow...:hump:

I was trying to zoom in on your Lables but it just gets really blurry, trying to figure out witch each machine is and what it does and where it goes, then some have boxs on the boxs lmao i will figure it out i know i will

thanks man, agian greatroom/grow:weed:

Alright Hulk nugs,
I'll break it down for you:
4-lumateks on top
Sentinel CHHC-1, Intelliclimate climate control, Sentinel CHHC-1
All the next boxes are Sentinel PXM-1 then the odd ball is a HPH-4
They only thing I'm not sure about is the row of relay boxes on the bottom. never seen that kind before.
Hope this helps

At seperate times I would be cooling the exhaust from either one 1000w light or two 600w lights.
As far as the coolbox goes... the coil that you use is that something i can pick up at home depot?

In regards to the fuse box. Here are a couple questions... and sorry if they arent the brightest...
Is it just a set of wires I'm trying to locate in my attic if I want to tap into the main power supply of the house? the fuse box is located outside... would i be needing to run wiring from the main fusebox into the attic and then to my growroom? all that being said, once i've located the place i'll be installing the fuse box... is there any possibility that i could damage the electrical system in the house if i do this incorrectly? or is it as simple as me taping into the lines that run to one of the sockets in the room?

is there a parts list somewhere in your journal for the fuse boxes?

i know you have a million questions on here, so i'm greatful if you have time to answer anything at all :) .

You are the man SOG! i'll toss up some pics this week and thanks again for takin the time to help out

on a side note... anyone know what i should be doing if i notice a few small knats flying around the rockwool in one of my tents?
