Sofakinghigh_ dose psychedelics

Ok so like the title says I’m getting into psychedelics. Although I have dabbled in different psychedelics I’m gonna stick with mushrooms and cactus (LSD is a bit complicated to make and reliable sources are getting fewer and fewer but that’s a different thread). Planning on doing a mono tub in just a few weeks. I’ll be running PSE Hawaiian this time. Used a spawn bag this time but already made spawn jars for next run and inoculated them with South American strain.

As for the cactus, it will be a bit longer on return. I went with trichocereus pachanoi to start. I have a feeling I’ll be getting a few other species along the way. I plan to harvest 2 at the end of summer and keep the rest for mother plants. PS I’m in a decriminalized state and the cactus is for religious purposes. Transplanted all the San Pedro into individual pots, I swear they have grown just since the transplant. I’ll most likely be setting the mono tub up this weekend so I can add in spawn bag and get the party rolling. I made my own cactus soil with coco sand and perlite View attachment 5369034View attachment 5369035
How long for those cacti for return? I was looking at peyote and it's like a 10 year wait.

Depends if you go from mother plant or seed. These were all from seed but I got them after germination. They can grow 12 inches in a year and they will be getting light all year round in the grow tent and room in winter and outside in summer. I’m new to cactus but 1-3 years is probably a good estimation from seed and faster if you get a mother plant with established roots. For me it’s the joy of producing my own medicine and experience. I also shied away from peyote because of the long return. I’m gonna get some Peruvian torch soon.

I hope it goes well! I can't wait to see the progress. I've yet to try them but living in Michigan peyote is pretty difficult to source. One day when I turn my shed into a grow shed I'll start my cacti. After I feel confident in my weed, I'll gonna get some shrooms going.

I went down a similar path for sure. If you’re just looking for the experience you can go on eBay and search T. Bridgessii P.Torch ✨ you will find 12 inch sections for 50 bucks a pop. But if you’re wanting to grow your own start it sooner rather than later. San Pedro can grow fine in your house over the winter and outside in the summer with partial sun. There’s a learning curve with mushrooms but growing cannabis definitely gives you better skills especially if you grow in coco.

You can easily grow a cactus to that height in 3 years but I found you need cuts from a more mature cactus to get enough extract/mescaline for psychoactive doses. Tried it myself with a cluster of T.Bridgessii cactus from a reputable source I have had growing on my windowsill since 2016. Ended up with a tiny amount of crystalline mescaline that did not seem to do very much in the trippin out dept. Luckily I also had a boatload of shrooms…
I’m saying if extraction is the goal a cutting from a mature cactus is the way to go. You can even graft it onto another cactus and it will be mature enough to get an extraction. Cactus from seed take such a long time to become active with mescaline. Even a 3 ft cactus yields very little. You need a decade or more of grow time to get enough mescaline for several doses I have been told.

Ha yes I read your whole thread lol. Are you sure it wasn’t just your extraction method? I have a bunch of good extraction teks on nexus I wanna try. Wonder why people can trip from tea out of a 12 inch section. I’m new so I’ll have to find out and cross my fingers that I get some that are higher in mescaline. I really would love to find a good source of Mimosa root bark for dmt.

I know dmt extraction is similar process and it is entirely possible that I fucked it up. Could not stomach the idea of ingesting cactus directly and the “tea” looks absolutely horrible. If tea tastes anything like the way cactus smells Im not sure I could get it down. Seems to be sort of like a syrup after several hours of cooking to reduction …:spew:
I don’t even really like eating shrooms; prefer those in a tea with lemon and honey. I was told by the OP who posted the tek I used that if we ended up with a small amount of crystals that would indicate your cactus was weak to begin with. Dude said a decade or more is needed to get enough mescaline for a full dose from a 12” cutting. I had about a full 3 feet and the cactus was only 3+ yrs old from seed. If said cutting was 3x older we may have extracted 3x more mesc. Certainly don’t want to discourage you just wanted to pass along our findings. Maybe you can do better.

You can speed up peyote by grafting it onto san pedro or something similiar thats fast growing and still psychoactive from what i heard tho anyone ever messed around with that ?
This is the advice I was given although I kind of gave up on the idea. Once you have an established cactus growing well you can graft other psychoactive varieties like L. williamsii. Once it takes hold and melds together the newer graft becomes as mature as the host. Wanted to try this but never got around to it.

Yes you can do that, I may end up doing it but you’re still putting in some time for return.
