Socialism Makes People Worse

Everyone keeps using France as an example of socialism. France is NOT a socialist state. Having labor laws and universal health care do not make a nation "socialist" any more than our progressive income tax makes US socialist.

A better example would be the Scandinavian states. Although they are not as socialist as some countries in the past and today, despite their "socialism" they maintain some of the highest standards of living
