The possession of pot became legal in the state Thursday after voters passed a measuredecriminalizing it in November. Day two kicked off with more celebrations under the Space Needle tower, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported, but the Pierce County Sheriff's Department investigated an attempted robbery in Puyallup at an alleged growing center foiled by a homeowner who shot two alleged burglars in front of his 9-year-old son.
Officers say they arrived at the home of the man, 35, Thursday to find two masked men dead on the floor and marijuana plants in the attic, ABC affiliate KOMO-TV News reported.
Unintended consequences no doubt but c'mon he blew away two guys in front of his 9-year-old????

The outcome however horrible, was certainly better than having the child see his father killed by two burglars. IMHO.

Most parents I know including myself would take this measure even with no plants in the house .. I hope they died nice and slow .. Breaking into ones home should warrant death . No Questions asked !

well thats a little extreme, me personally, id shoot em in the leg so we can have a nice long conversation :) killing them seems a little overboard but the guy probably wasnt a trained killer and didnt yell that he had a gun. he was probably scared shitless on the other side of a door finger on the trigger shaking like a leaf, but when they came at him, "boom!" so i dont blame him, just his lack of training. TBH its irrelevant whether he had plants or not they could have came to rob him for dozens of reasons.

LEO/Military are all trained to focus on Charlie Mike.
There is a reason.

This guy is 1000% in the right, as crazy as.this sounds, in most states, had he only wounded these pos's, he had some potential civil liability, yes they might have been able to sue the homeower even though there was no crime committed by homeowner and it could get worse if they (bad guys) get out of the house wounded. Make sure the bad guy is IN your house and aim for kill points.

The only problem with this is you can be sued for shooting
nd wounding someone, we've all heard the stories before right? I was advised by someone in law enforcement when I was about 17 years old to go for the kill because "dead people don't talk" or sue in this case. I would love to live in a society where I didn't have to be sued by people for simply defending myself, or even better one that didn't require weapons for defense, but it isn't going to happen, so my plan is go for the chest and don't stop until they stop moving. The two burglars were both armed with guns btw. If I saw two people armed dressed in black pop in uninvited they just signed their own death warrants and my 9 year old son is only that much more of a reason to not wound a gun wielding burglar.

I am a hunter and have always had guns and been willing to use force..if necessary. The best option isn't always blowing someone away IMHO. Can't undo it is one problem.

Its called DEADLY FORCE for a reason. We as citizens are not permitted to shoot to mame and can be liable. People like u give gun owners a bad name. If u feel threatened enough to fire it needs to be kill of be killed. Center mass is all anyone should aim for

How about escape out the back door with your 9 yr old if possible? I think some people are looking for an excuse to start shooting.

You're to hesitant. That's the kind of shitty decision making that will cost your own life. What are you going to do, yell at the intruders to go home? They'll smell pussy bitch all over you and beat you with your own gun.

Has nothing to do with being a coward. Lots of folks rotting in jail that made the wrong decision
