So who here is growing in true organic living soil?

I'm trying to get a mixer also. Mixing soil by hand can be hard work.

these work good just fill em up screw the top on push them over and roll it

The local hardware store down the street from me rents those out. It cant be more than 15 bucks a day Ill have to check it out. looks like it beats kicking the barrel around the yard.

They had one a little cheaper.

Thought I would stop in and say hi! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! Oh, and I use a big tarp to mix my soil. Turn it end over end, but a cement mixer would be so much more fun!

If you can source some quality compost/vermicompost (or better yet make your own) then you're golden. The rest is a piece of cake.

So Im going to mix 2 parts composted cow poop (no smell),one part large chunk perlite,and one part promix. I have green sand, soft rock phosphate, bone meal, bloodmeal, I have lime but I don't think I need it, what do you think anything I should add other than the crabshell

Im trying to put this together tomorrow.

fish meal, fish bone meal, alfalfa, kelp, neem meal and worm castings.

I have worm castings and bat guano I don't have the kelp I ran out Ok I dont know what neem meal is?

I drill a hole in the side at the top a bucket and fill it half way with water.Then I run an air line in and put some air stones at the bottom. I hang a white nylon stocking with some worm poo and guano +what ever other goodies i have from the lid and let it brew for 24hrs.
