So whats up with all the low yield folks here?

Ok, I ask this with respect. What is going on with all the low yield grows here? I mean, we have one post of a guy saying he got 15 lbs off of 12 plants and then alot of posts calling bullshit on someone getting these numbers. Around our way 1 lb off one plant is average. Hell, my mate did a 7 month grow with one plant and got 7 lbs off it.I see alot of people getting 50 plants, under one 600 HPS, turning them to flower when they little more than a foot or two high and getting 1 lb off the lot. Why do people do it this way? Why dont you just get more yield off less plants? I mean, arnt you better off legally if you get caught with two plants instead of 50? What are the reason that people dont look for max yield per plant? Here people aim, and achieve mostly, 2-3 lbs per plant. Again, not looking to have a go at people, just wanting to understand how things are done in other necks of the woods.

Some strains like lowryders only get a couple of feet tall in the 9 week grow cycle..
The Sea of Green (sog)... Plus a lot of folk don't have the space & time to sustain a mega grow. 7 lbs ???

Having only 6 ft of hight to grow in the roof apex is why I grow smaller plants, would love to grow bigger plants, but I'm happy with 10oz every 10weeks growing 12/12 and only 5 plants at a time so low risk. In the UK 5 plants would be a slap on the wrist (caution) because it would only be classed as personal. But if they caught you with a tree they would prosecute you based on weight, so it is swings and roundabouts I think. I feel safe with 5 small girls anyhow!

Also only having one tree is kinda putting all your eggs in one basket. If something goes bad with 1 tree there goes the entire season.

HIDs only penetrate so far. trees have a lot of lower branches that don't get adequate light. with a sea of green you can keep your light directly above all the flowering parts.

Well, unless you're selling it, you really don't have a need for that much weed at a time. A lot of people that grow indoors don't have much space to grow in so they choose to start a SOG. Once you get one started you can get harvests from a lot of small plants every two or three weeks instead of waiting for months just to have two plants fully grow.

veg time with a sea of green is usually less than 2 weeks. to veg a 1 pound plant is at least a month. that's that much more electricity to pay for as well.

but THAT is the big question posed here, isn't is fdd2blk??? what yield is more worth the weight/wait?

:peace:

Im just hoping the pest dont get to my one and only lil plant ... Been sitting with tweezers killing any spider ect on it and spray with Neem oil . Mine is outside plant

1 pound off of an indoor plant only vegged for a month? When I veg for 4 weeks I only get 1.5-2 oz. per plant... I must be doing something wrong

If a guy/gal has no desire to sell any of their stash, like me, then they have their hands full keeping the X amount of already cured and stored, gradeA+ stash fresh and fruity for their enjoyment.
I'm just finishing a grow and plan one more, pre-Xmas . . . I can't imagine needing the Xmas harvest . . . now what would folks like me need w/pounds and pounds of stash?
It's all just a matter of a growers purposes. I grow a couple hundred pounds of tomatoes most summers . . . eat 'em fresh, can the rest. Of course, each year we get backed up with already canned tomatoes not getting eaten . . . which MrsF. turns into catsup. I can't see having to figure out a way to keep pounds of last years pot viable endlessly. Seems it'd simply get old and crunchy, in my case, anyway?
I suppose a grower could use a bunch if they had a very active social life.

I'm calling bullshit on a seven pound plant, even if it was grown outside. I'll call bullshit on a 1 pound indoor plant unless it took months of training etc. which means it was a waste of time. Why not have 16 plants under a 1000 watter and pull down a pound every 8 weeks instead of trying to grow a huge ass single plant that takes months to veg.

you could trade some for new tires for your car.
i traded some for a tattoo once. :)

Dude I don't have the space for the type of growing and I'm not looking for weight to sell. To hell with that...

:spew: <---That was me last night...shit that sucked...

Yeah i had one of those nights too haha! not a good idea to smoke while sick. I have heard of massive 10-15 foot plants outdoors harvesting several pounds but nothing indoors like that i cant imagine having enough room to grow.

I don't drive anymore . . . nowhere to go, and I don't need nothin' MrsF. can't bring home from work . . . except maybe some cocaine. I would love one more excellent coke-week before I run outta time. Bet it's been 20 years since a now-dead buddy flew in w/an a-hole full! No, that's not what killed him, directly anyway.
Oh well, I'm probably better off staying away from the powders.

How much water would it take to keep a plant w/7 lbs of flowers going?
:blsmoke:

i just bought a extra 600 watt hps so im runnin x6 600 wat hps in all over 50 plants..... usein hydroponics setup and co2 ... my plants have got room to go upto 6ft ... my room height is 9 ft ... so hopefully i can get 1pound a plant in a 32 m2 space :P my seedlings have been going for 18 days now and are gettin big ... but i will veg them for another 20 days under dual spectrum hps ... so bring on the tommatoes im hungry to eat :D
