So what is "following" someone exactly?

Hello!

I'm kind of unsure what this whole "following" thing is, and I am new to this forum, and forum's in general really....

So maybe if you explain it to me like I was born prior to 1935, and I don't understand "internet".

Is following someone on here just another way to say "I like you"?

Is it like an interweb hug?

Do I get notifications from the people I'm following?

Is it good to follow a lot of different people? Like collecting people, in a non-murdery way?

And while I may, or may not have your attention - what's this app "they" want me to download? Something about tapping, tapp-tappy? I really can't remember.

Anywho - is it good? What does it do?
 
following used to be called friends, but now they've turned it into something a bit more stalkerish, hehe.. :D
when you follow someone, all of their posts show up in your feed, so you can see their latest posts easy like..
it's tappatalk, but riu has it's own app, which just makes using riu easier for mobile devices.. a lot of features don't work as well on the mobile if you don't have the app, that's about it.

VERY informative. Um...what's a "feed" - hahaha.

I think all I know about are the "alerts".

So - app good to get? Usually if I'm not able to type on the computer - I'm actually busy or driving and I probably shouldn't make it easier for myself to become distracted...

That being said - I like internet!
 
if you click on your own picture in your avatar, and then click on profile, it'll take you to your profile page.. once there, click on recent activity, and this is where you'll see the people you're followings activity.. like here's a link for mine...

and yes, the app is useful if you're on your phone a lot...

Ah, I thought it was some kind of online possesion. Like a RIU version of "new meat" and "prison betch".
