I personally never liked how the rep system was incorporated at RIU & am glad changes have been made , IMO rep should only be given for grow advice or being helpfull to the RIU comunnity as a whole , not beacuse you heard a joke you liked or the famous lets all give each other rep for fun , spending time bs'ing in toke n talk joking around isnt why everybody is here , dont get me wrong beacuse i too enjoy just shootin the shit but rep shouldnt be given beacuse somebody made me laugh .
Many people come here for grow advice & we've all seen yoyo's give advice where they dont have a clue or merely repeating what they read elsewhere , how do newbs distinguish who's a knowledgeable grower when everybody has a zillion rep points ?

big problem there...who decides when to give rep...or whose advice is "good" or "bad" ?
ppl. who count on ppl. with "rep" for the welfare of their grow are in for a rough ride imo.
