So..I was in court today

Not for myself, but to see how the "video arraignment" went for a friend of mine, Nothing big 7 yaer old bench warrant for "leaving the scene" after hitting a road marker.(sober..it was icy) 7 days or $350..stay or pay ruling. I went over to the jail and sprung him.

Anyhow, I had to watch about 30 arraignments before his came up.

Wow..there are some fk'd up people out there. Saw a guy on parole for rape..charged with 3 new rapes, ask the judge for a PR bond to "free up bed space" at the jail.

2 had no recollection of the events that caused their arrest...last night.

Only one weed charge. Dui pull over, blew 1.3, found 4 oz of cannabis in the car. packaged in 1/4 oz baggies.. Guy had no card. Judge asked. another poor soul..right OZZ? I mean..with those small bags, he was obviously out delivering to patients..

Holy fuck bob, if you sat in any court I have, then you should be more worried about the raper and other "fucked up people". The judge sees that shit day after day and most are not worried about a dude with 4 whole ounces. If this guy is only carrying 4 ounces than he is trying to sell three so he can smoke one for his pain relief cuz the guy more than likely doesn't have blue cross.
I take it you didn't go spring that guy. First of 1.3 is warming up. You just heard first hand they are MENTIONING bed space and repeat rapist. I would love to get a list of the inmates and their charges and the remaining pending charges in your area and see how YOU would rank which fish to keep and which you would throw back. How many "bad caregivers" would you make us taxpayers care for? They say it's cheaper to take a young offender and put him through college than prison.

The point was that there was only 1 weed case in the 30 or so I saw. He had no med card, no Dr recommendation...he got pulled over for Dui....I wouldn't call him being picked on..I'd call him..less than smart.
I was expecting a far greater number of weed charges, given Timmahh and Ozz's testimony about the cops spending all thier time busting innocents.

That's the point I was making....

As far as how I would rank them? The weed cases would be pretty low on the list. But in this instance...he got pulled over for being drunk..blew 1.3, the weed is secondary. AND he had no Dr rec or card. also note that the judge asked if he had a defense for the cannabis...what's unfair about that? So the guy was thinking "gotta transport some weed. Better drink first"..yea goood logic.

The rapist should and will most likely get life. I brought him up for the humor in him asking for a PR bond "to free up bed space"

Had you read the posts in the thread you would know that the judge asked..but you don't read...just yell.

The weed IS an issue. No card, no rec, bagged in 1/4 oz bags....oh that's right ...weed is legal in your mind. No way he was heading to the local school to peddle those quarters.

I have heard that some sort of "salts" they sell have people doing crazy things. I heard of people turning to cannablism on this drug that is not a drug. is this true?

Personally for many 1.3 isn't drunk. I could be wrong but I believe many states WERE 1.2 as the limit. It is even possible that the judge you watched was 1.4.
Anyway a dude drinking with a few o's in the trunk IS NOT A CRIMINAL. It is called a dude getting a dui. Someone in trouble is not a criminal. 4 ounces of weed is a dude with weed. If he had sixteen quarters done up then he has friends. I have lived a different life than you and I beg you to listen to me on one thing. When you come into contact with a motherfucking criminal that needs to be off the streets you will become scared. There are guys that will rape, not three woman, but you and that judge. No one needs meds in west michigan....flooded over here. No dispensaries..most conservative and restrictive local ordinances you can imagine..cannabis everywhere.

Sitting in a courtroom and seeing people locked up and watching their loved ones having to go through that shit. Then to watch the judges and lawyers just pump through file after file after file and just breeze through them like they are folders, it effects me different than you obviously. I have met many many terrific people in jail and prison that simply made a mistake and should be on the street. I have also met many killers on the street, that should be in prison. That is the big picture. Read the free press tomorrow. Did you look to see if your serial rapist even made the newspaper? It isn't even a big deal, you said fucker wanted bond to try to get a few more in. Weed cannot be distracting these police officers, judges, and prosecuting attorneys. They do not, or at least should not, be fucking with minor things like this.

I am not going to keep going back and forth, it is clear we will never agree..you feel entitled to medicinal Mary while somehow wanting to deny others of the benefits ..I don't even know how to describe that selfishness from one grower to another..it makes no sense.

GL on your guys quest. I have read through the first version of the Ohio cannabis proposal. Should we have to suffer with lost fools like bob and bill schuette, and should our MSC not be listened or followed by these dolts, and you guys pass. I may for the first time in my life look at moving to Ohio. The first draft of your Act, looks quite well wrote. Much of it appears they took the general outline we have here in MI, and went further with it in respect to outlining less usual details, which makes it a pretty solid piece of legislature.
