28800 lumens of CFL's for $130 shipped to my door?

this includes 23 watters...42 watters and even a few of the big boys (105 watters).

is 28800 cfl lumens enough to grow decently a small closet sided crop from start to finish? (i have 4 seeds but im only certain 1 is a female as i bought it online feminized the others are mystery seeds so i dont expect to finish the crop with all 4 being female)

so thoughts?

let me know you opinions.

thanks

Uhh. You dont want to buy used bulbs, but then again, i really have no idea what you are talking about. What are the color temperatures of the lights? Go to bublorama.com, fill your shopping cart with the equivilants in this bulb deal you are posting and see if the prices match up at all.

Secondly, you dont want just one giant CLF. You dont. Three 26 watt bulbs will cover a larger area than one 75 watt bulb and produce less heat. I have four 45 watt bulbs and a 55 watt bulb (CFLs) and the ballasts run really hot. Plus, what if your one bulb gets broken, they you are totally SOL. If you have 3 bulbs and one dies, at least you still have some light until you can replace it.

If you like CFL's, and are looking to drop $130, why not look into t5 tubes. They are essentially the same thing as CFL's without the spirals, and you can get more light directed to the plant with them. I used CFL's to grow with until I had money to invest in better lighting options. If you are going to invest, why not upgrade?

I have a four 2' bulb T5 set up and id prefer those, but CFLs are so much easier to move around and adjust. I also have been having a devil of a time finding your basic 2' T5 light fixture for a price that is reasonable. I paid $135+ for my T5 fixture and bulbs and thats a lot of money. If anyone knows of a place that sells 2' two bulb T5 light fixtures for $20 or less, let me know.

I have a single plant under ~6400 lumens (4x23 watt), and that baby is thriving! :)

Just make sure to space them out around the plant, especially during flowering. CFLs are the shit for growing in small spaces.
