So Close!

Wow... thought I'd just put this up here...

Well, this morning I was startled awake by the sound of my dog barking... so I roll out of bed (sometimes I sleep in the living room in the basement (I live in a converted basement in my mama sans house while i'm going to school...) and walk into my room to find... MY SISTER... staring back and forth between a bag of hydroton and my closet, which is emitting a bright light as my MH has just come on...

So I walk in, see her staring, and start thinking "oh god, please let her just leave" (my family is pretty close-knit, and this is not something very suprising for me to be caught doing.. but all the same, we usually abide by a "don't ask, don't tell" policy when it comes to herb (as in I do... so they've stopped asking, and i've stopped telling.)

Well. seeing how she is a med student, and inquisitive as shit, she asks what i'm doing... so I said "trying to grow some tomatoes" and she said "bullshit". So I ended up showing her my closet, which contains two MH atm, 2 18-gal DWC buckets, a few inline fans, and duct connecting to the main exhaust coming from the kitchen exhaust fan, not to mention that the WHOLE closet is lined with reflecti-x. Its looks pretty crazy if you're uninitiated...

Well, I guess she thought I was half-assing it (my MO), cus when I opened the closet to finally show her, she was AWED! She thought it was so cool! She even said it was a good idea to grow personals, "just don't sell it" which I never even planned on doing!

my sister is awesome... and now I no longer have ANY worries (well, outside of power consumption, LEO, FLIR,) I've been pretty careful, only one person knows... and he is guiding me as he is experienced and I am learning...

Kinda wished I had shown her earlier, and I think i'm definately gonna put her lab skills to work when it comes to pruning buds and taking clones! Muahahaha!

1... not a kid. 2... i definately imparted the importance of not telling ANYONE. 3... Its not exactly a secret anymore, now is it. If it had been a huge concern for anyone, i'm sure they would've asked me to destroy it there and then... but they didn't.

i did a backyard grow last year, these were planted mid may. i failed to plan for the heat. for the first 3 months they were in pots after that they went into the ground. how it wasnt long before height was a issue @ 6 foot fence i was there about sept. once you step foot in my yard it was smell of green for sure. my neighbor was caught looking through the fence on several occasions. one afternoon i was back there with a friend and my nieghbor starts a conversation with me. he pops over the fence what you growing there......

I said i think you have figured that out along time ago. 7 beautiful girls 3 weeks into flower with about 600 bud sites total. all summer i slaved over these, as soon as they started to bud sept 5 or so. they had 6-10 weeks to totally fill in there was no way to cover up the smell. they were bent over so far on a dry day you were tying them down on a wet day you were proping them up. it is very hard to control conditions outdoors make sure you plan and plant well
