I had almost (or more than) two weeks between my first plant getting cut to the stub and my last plant getting cut. The roots didn't start rotting in my tank yet.

I also asked my hydro guy what he thought about it and his opinion was less than 10-14 days and you won't need to worry about it.

More than that and you should get some hygrozyme or whatever that stuff is that eats dead organic matter.
Thanks homey, that puts my mind at rest. At least one runt is coming down tonight. They need to be put out of their misery.

Jig, I'm excited to see your soil grow! Where will you put your babies for the extra hours of sunlight?
I have been thinking about throwing that little hempy clone I have in the flower area to get her started but I think all that hand watering will be a PIA. I wouldn't want to try to transplant her to a net pot and flood tray in the middle of flower.

Good info, I have a similar deal and was wondering about that.
Thanks Jig.

Just thought I would add, in the past when this happened I cut early. Mostly clear trichomes. Dryed for a week and jared it for a week and It turned out fine.

Thanks, I will post up some runt chop pics later. Nothing exciting about these guys though.

Well it depends on how you look at it. This is your first grow right. And this will be the first plant you harvest right. That's fucking exciting in my book. You'll harvest many many plants in your long life... but only one will be the first.

She may not be the best smoke... but she's special no matter what.

Hey,
I chopped the runts over a couple days. They are super scraggles, long thin flowers. They are drying and curing now. Attached is a picture of the trichomes from the white widow from earlier in the week. I checked again last night and most are cloudy with some clear. I will check again on Thursday. The smoke is nice and flavorful through the vaporizer and the effect is pretty good.

See ya later!

Those runts look pretty good. The foxtail buds always look so odd. That's how many of my first buds looked.

The trich pics are hard to take, huh. It looks great though.

The stuff you tried in the vaporizer... was it dried? cured at all? just curious.

Hey Jig

I used the radio shack microscope and held my camera up to it to get the trichome pics.

I dried for 4 day and then tried some. I also let some cure for a couple days. Hard to tell the difference right now.

Duudee those look goood :D
Thanks guys, here are a few more for us to enjoy. They look so done but the trichomes are still cloudy/clear with only a few amber. I am checking both the flowers and leaves. They are looking more "white" every day!
I added a 65w CFL to the vegger this week and sprayed her with Liquid Light tonight. She seems to be enjoying both. I'm thinking about topping her and cloning the cutting.

The original 'Night of the living Dead' is on right now. Crazy, if your into that sort of thing. "They're are coming to get you Barbara!"

I'm getting the itch to chop the lady in the 3rd picture. The trichomes look cloudy but very few amber. Sunday will be the end of 10 weeks.

I don't think you can go wrong at this point. If you feel the urge... do it. Plus you have others to wait on if you feel like it.

The last two white widows are taking forever to finish. I want to get them outta there so I can start on the next grow. I'm definitely going with an indica next grow.

Yea man, I know how you feel,
Like I mentioned earlier my widow plants do the same thing.

Thing is, there are several strains that will flower for you in 8 weeks,
Then you have your Sativa that come in at 10 to 13 and Widow is right in the middle.
From now on, when I grow widow it will be strictly widow grow.

Nice pic of the trichomes by the way. Was that through the microscope?

Yep, I held the digi cam right up to the Radio Shack microscope. It worked much better than I thought it would.

Hey guys,

The nug shot is White Diesel. After a few days curing in a jar it tastes even sweeter, similar to a granny apple but herb flavored.

I also added another 65w cfl to the vegger. I'm going to try to take clones off of it soon.

I chopped 2 more tops off of the White Widow.

The slowest of the group is still maturing...slowly.

Sweet looking bro. That nug looks top shelf. And oh the joys of trimming. I hope the others finish up for you soon.

:peace:
