Snow White - CFL - 2nd Grow

The clone is still vegging with the other's? It look like it was flowering so this is why I'm curious.

Yep...put it into Veg from a flowering plant (i know its not ideal, but i figured nothing to lose if it dies, and if it works..YAY! :) )

Also, forgot to mention
The light schedule for these guys is 18/6 , and it will be that way through until i switch to the flowering schedule

BTW...that clone is dying isnt it?
Although I have never had it happen to me in hydro but I have heard that sometimes clones store there nutrients in their fan leaves and when they are trying to root and need nutrients they absorb them from the fan leaves hence turning those lower leaves brown. I wouldn't worry about that. That clone looks pretty good so keep at it. whatever you do dont cut any leaves off. If those fan leaves die just let them fall off or until you see some growth and big fan leaves come it then cut them. It will take a while to see some real growth on it because it was flowering when you took it. It took mine like 3-4 weeks then BOOM they look great and bushy now!

Ok cool... when do u start the nutes with the clones??

I start my nutes after I see some substantial growth.

substantial growth = New big fan leaves and shoots. Rufly 2-3 inches of new growth vertically. This way I know that the roots are strong and the plant is back into veg state. BUT I nute at 1/4 strength and work my way up. Im hydro so its a bit different. I imagine you would be fine at 1/2 strength of whatever you were using as full strength before.

Alright thanks.
I initially tried hydro...OMG i was a complete failure....lol
For me its SOIL!!!! nice & easy

a DWC system is TOTALLY EASY and could talk you through a DIY if you ever choose to. It would cost ruffly $30 ish not including the nutes.

So far so good w the soil..i dont like messing with the ppm's & nutes & stuff w the hydro... i find soil to be easier...for me at least...lol

took a cpl more pics when i went home for lunch...the 2nd seedling was having a lil trouble shedding its shell...so i helped it out a tiz

Ok...both seedlings are officially sprouted as of 10/7, and looking ohhh so cute.. ;)

Also...that clone is looking ALOT worse..but from what u said prior..this is normal?? Hopefully its using that energy to build the roots? ::fingers crossed::

It all looks good and that clone looks fine but trust me when I say taking a clone when flowering takes FOREVER to revert back into veg but yours still looks health but it will take a bit.

I believe u ;) its been doing what u said it would... u said to let the dead leaves fall off on their own right? I can the stem is still looking very healthy.. so no worries:blsmoke:

What kind of led light are you going to use? I am subscribed, can't wait to see how this turns out. Looks very good so far!

Ok...the clone is dead! Wanted no part of me!!
And the kids are hurting a bit which is from the temps (being too high) and im assuming from the nutes in the soil. I havent given them any nutes yet because of that...plus theyre too little...

One thing ive learned is not to bug out...im sure they'll bounce back w/o too many probs..lol, hopefully!

If that is the clone in the background of pic 2 then it might still be ok. Just keep watering it and keep it under the lights. Like I said it takes FOREVER if you took a clone when flowering to bring it back to veg state. ........ you need to set up that extracting fan! Do you have a fan going on the inside for just air movment?

Yeh thats the clone in the background... how can i check to see if its rooting? Or i dont?

Also, i have 2 fans in there.. One against the hole blowing out (which isnt doing shit) and the other is blowing across the lights and sprouts. ..
Think i need the fan right now just to help cool it off...the smell obviously is no concern yet...but the heat!!!! :fire: No Good!!

U think Ace hardware has those fans? Or do i have to trip it to Home depot?

Clone = Just leave it alone and keep watering it every other day or something. You can try and give it a gentile tug and if it doesn't want to come straight out then its growing roots!

The fan you say that you have blowing out is probably on the floor right? If so its being counter productive because cool air goes down and hot air goes up so you are better off blowing the outside air in forcing air the hot air up and spilling out the top of the tent.

Ace fkn rocks! They do say they sell them but ACE stores are a franchise that are independently owned so it depends on the stores owner to decide what they carry. BUT its always worth a shot to look but they tend to be more expensive.
