Smoking Resin Bad?

As you read this i am out of marijuana and have to resort to smoking resin dabs of my vapor globe -__-. i know from sights and smell that resin is pretty damn gross but it gets the job done. Is it worse than smoking weed? Any1 know the THC% of resin? Thanks

Well smoking anything is bad so, yes its bad for you. The thc % is very low and depends on the potency of the erb that produced it. Good weed, makes potent ass resin. Me+now+potent resin= DID THE FUCKING TRICK!

And we have all done it. every stoner from east to west has blazed tar, it tastes bad, smells bad, might give you a headache, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

resin is the work of the Stoner God! I have a small sneak a toke that I loaded up about 2 months ago then got side tracked and smoked it last night. I loaded it with some nice hash and keif and last night smoked about 1/3 of the pipe and was ready for bed. One of the 1st times I had smoked pot after being legal I was scrapping the bowl and always looked forward to the resin. I know some folks here are just apeshit about taste and all that crap but I am all about potency!

Yeah, smoking resin blows and it's not good for you, but I dare anyone not to once the stash you've been smoking from every day and night suddenly comes to an abrupt end.

Use a good water pipe if you must.

It's raw carcinogen. And will get you high in a pinch.

The toxins in resin don't even compare to that of a cigarette. Don't sweat it.

Yuck, we've all been there. If it's from a vaporizer it's probably pretty decent. Out of a pipe it's pretty gross, but still better than the ass end of a phillie blunt! The main thing is what you light it with. Half of pipe resin is the residue from Bic lighters. I use hempwicks cuz I'm a snob like that, and my resin tastes oddly good ever since. Still, thanks to a decade of practice, and all the rad folks on this forum and overgrow before it, running out of herb just means it's time to dip into the hash until the next cycle is done

Don't compare? How does one compare? What is your basis to compare the two? How much toxic does it take? Just one?

These days I use a tiny pipe, 1 inch on a side. Why? To easily clean it in alcohol everyday.

EXTREMELY low. THC breaks down @ 365 F (+/- 20f). the flame on a lighter burns at over 3,900 F..... the THC is broken down into its base chemicals as it is combusted and inhailed. if it is left to stick on the side of the pipe / bong then it degrades down even further.

all in all your not getting high off the THC anymore, thats why the "high" is so different than smoking the weed. much of it has turned into CBN, which gives you a stoney, messed up feeling....

When I first started growing and I was smoking both dank and schwag for moment I liked to put my kind resin (tar) on schwag, taste like crap but sure got the job done. Now I just throw it away, I even try to buy pipes that are easy to clean so I don't have to put a tasty nugget in a stinky pipe.

For all I know smoking ANYTHING is bad for you. It surely isn't good, had you have lived two lives and you spent 1 smoking and the other one NOT, I think you would live longer in the NOT SMOKING life and I mean smoking ANYTHING. I think weed should be legalized, but, am I dumb enough to think smoking marijuana on a daily basis has no harmful side affects? NO! Smoking weed Is Still SMOKING. Resin out a vape is actually quite high in thc. And cbn...out a pipe it is much higher in cbn and cbd..from a vape it should be just as healthy as nothing was combusted its essentially aged hash oil if that makes you feel better.. out a pipe how ever most of it is nastiest that burn away at a higher temp think about cleaning your oven you gotta turn it up real high. Lol I'm trying to explain it a little better as the first page had some....interesting information..so smoke your res its good actually really good out a vape

Yep, I just hash oiled a bunch of CBN. Seriously I had a bag of dirt shit that I never smoked for years. So I tried out my new extractor on it. OK yield of oil. But, it has, let's say, no THC in it, alas.

It is lightly CBN in inert oils.

My jet lighter which is quite a bit hotter then a regular lighter, peaks out at about 2400 degrees... Resin? well it sucks no matter how you smoke it. The best way I would say is igniting it, that would be the closet you'll get to anything you would want to smoke. But it's basicly a somewhat poisonous and noxious gas that is produced by smoking resin. It's very unhealthy to do so, and like I said I don't suggest it... I've seen some testing of ashtray/resin reclaims doing a hexane/saline wash, its still got a lot of thc etc... It still tastes nasty but if you have a bunch of resin for whatever reason, cleaning it up with a non polar wash would probly be best. Then still vape it so you don't get carcinogens and other crap that's still in there

What a thread! The dreaded shit actually adds weight to my Sherlock lol! I HAVE toked the resin/tar whatever it is and gotten where I needed to be in a pinch however the idea of smoking it repulses me tbh. I love qwizo's idea of a wash if it has to be smoked.
