sounds like you are drying them too quickly - what is the temp of the room you dry in?

it sort of smells like cut grass,

Thats because it wasnt dry all the way or you are not done curing.

After you jar the buds and the moisture evens out again and all the buds are "wet" again, set em all out to dry again. rinse and repeat.

no, rinse and repeat simply means, start over. In this case. i.e. put them back in the jar untill the moisture is even again.

28C - so like 82F.... should be ok but technically a little too hot. 70F-80F is ideal I believe

Read this:
http://www.a1b2c3.com/drugs/mj009.htm

Conditions should remain constantly somewhere within the following ranges, temperature should be between 65-75 degrees F, relative humidity should be between 45%-55%. At temperatures lower than 65 degrees, drying time will be lengthened. At temperatures higher than 75 degrees, the heat will cause the outer portion of the bud to dry quicker than the inner part, and the taste will suffer.
At humidity levels lower than 45%, the marijuana will dry too fast and the taste will suffer. At humidity levels higher than 55%, the marijuana will take a long time to dry, and it will be prone to mold.

Sounds like it dried too fast locking in the chlorophyll, sugars, etc. .. your bud needs to be hung out to dry for at-least 3days before jarring or smoking. Try to slow the process down and don't let them get dry toooo fast. i've been putting mine in jars between 3-6 days. depending on how fast they are drying. Usually somebuds will dry faster than others so i use those to decide when to jar. as soon as some of them start to get crispy - i jar them up to redistribute the moisture. After the buds are moist again i set them out to dry some more. again once some buds are crispy and some are not, i re-jar them and repeat.

hope this helps. everyone has there own method, and some strains will just smell DANK all the way through drying. but yes, some buds get smelling like cut grass very quickly and it's un-nerving to think that 3-6days could "ruin" a whole harvest. but I'd rather have dry hay bud, than modly wet bud. so if your buds are still the slightest bit moist dont leave them in the jar longer than 8-12 hours. try to let them air out! Like the rest of the hobby, curing is an art. and you'll figure out the way that works for you!

thanks guys, you have been a big help they have been hanging for 5 days now and still arnt crispy dry ill give them another day and then ill jar them and keep repeating the process and see if they start to smell
