smell clinging to everything

So I have a situation I would be open to some input on

I smoke pretty much 10-25 joints a day and the smell is pretty strong, my house you can smell it on both floors usually. I live in a house with a room-mate and we are having another friend of mine move in to rent the spare bedroom who is on parole. In order for him to be allowed to move the parole officer is going to be coming out to the house on tuesday during the afternoon just to take a quick look and approve the address, currently the smell clings to pretty much everything centralizing in my room, do you think sunday - tuesday afternoon with all the windows open and fans on and nothing in the house will be sufficient to air the place out. If not what would you suggest? Sorry for the poor grammer I'm baked

Bake chocolate chip cookies 1 hr before the PO comes. Then it will smell like chocolate chip cookies. Then you can bribe him with said chocolate chip cookies.

Or make a shitload of bacon. On one hand, bacon is extremely potent smelling and will pretty much overpower everything. But don't go like... offering it to the piggy... he might take that the wrong way... haha. Just be making a big breakfast when he comes by chance...

While I like the chocolate chip cookie idea and it will help you really need an ozonizer. Further have you considered how this will change your search warrant rights? Usually on probation/parole there are agreements made that compromise normal US citizen rights such as protection from unwarranted search and seizure. So at this point this means having to put dead bolts on all your 'private' areas because any area he inhabits without those locks becomes 'common' areas when searched.

So if you are sure you are going to do this or there are other extenuating circumstances that make this a good idea for you I know you are a smart guy so I'm sure you have reasons. I would go see a criminal defense attorney (a good one/one you would have defend you if necessary), in your area and make sure deadbolts alone will be enough to make your personal area require a search warrant at all in this instance.

dont smoke 20 joints a day inside? dont have a bong? ozone generators also do work.
Agreed, ozone generator works.. or go heavy on a DIY ONA bucket, and load the soil moist up with the gel, make 2 of the buckets if you must and wipe it out.. a quick wipedown of the walls with a -light- bleach water wouldn't hurt either, and wash the damn curtains and blinds.

Agreed on this, you don't want anything not locked down being exposed without the ability to resist search should they knock for a random inspection.

Truth talk all up in this thread... both this and c2g's deadbolt advice are dead on...

This is going to sound silly, but I'll toss it out there anyway.

Do you own a crockpot/slow cooker? If so, just do some cooking that day. Load that bad boy up with some potatoes, carrots, garlic, curry, etc. The stinkier the spices, the better. Every time my wife uses the slow cooker the smell of what she is making absolutely overwhelms any other odor in the house, including marijuana.

The bleach is multi-purpose, with the amount that's being smoked.. a simple 'wipe' of the walls with a forensic swab would test positive.. bleach would definitely skew the result chemically, even things meant to bring out or separate concentrations before spec analyzer / gas chromatograph for composition wouldn't be able to see it with any degree of probability that'd hold up in a court of law.

This is a great comment and good advice.
You may also want to think about shampooing carpets, couch, chairs. Wipe your walls down, open some windows. Maybe avoid incense as it may seem like your trying to cover up a smell.
