Small Stealth Growbox, opinions?

So I'm new here but have been looking around since I first became interested in growing my own plant a couple weeks ago. So far I have made a small growbox out of one of my old drawers. I painted the whole interior white and mounted a 2700k CFL inside. I'm now realizing that it will be most likely be missing about a foot of the growspace it will need towards the end of it's growing stage. The box is 15" back, 2' across and 18" from top to bottom interior.

I was wondering if the plant will adapt by spreading itself out in the box instead of growing straight up. Should I use a pot that is wide and short or just just a small and tall pot to grow it? I ordered the mega mix from goldenseed which includes northern lights, jack herrer, sweet tooth, big bud, and shiva shanti. are any of these known to grow a certain way that I should be aware of?

If the plants turn out to be too big for the box at a certain point I am considering constucting a larger growbox that I will place in the corner of my attic ( see pictures). I'm hoping to not have to resort to this because my supplies are pretty limited.

So any tips or methods detailing how to keep your plants short and wide would be much appreciated.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies, I forgot about this thread because later that day I cancelled my mega-mix order and got a 10 pack of lowryder 2 from Goldenseed because it just seemed like a much better choice for the small area.

I do have a few questions about this auto-flowering strain though. when I germinate the seeds, do I really need to wait a month after first roots before i can plant my seeds? That seems like an awfully long time. Will my plant survive with only one CFL? I've seen alot of people using the 27w CFLs and overall have gotten good reviews but these growers are all using more than 3 CFL's at once but then again they are growing maybe 6-7 plants. I'll only be growing 3 or so for my first go at it and I need to know if I'll be ok with only one bulb. As for light cycles, is 18/6 the best method for this scenario? I'm also considering going through with a seed run for my first grow so I'll atleast have enough seeds to not have to buy again and or earn my money back with the seeds and also to just get the hang of things. What do you guys think? should I pollinate the females and get seeds before I go for the bud? or get rid of males right off the bat and grow for the bud?

ANY advice is heavily appreciated here, for my newbness expands beyond any reasonable bounds.

Thanks again
