Small hydroponics

Hi all,
I am in the midst of building a pc stealth grow case, I know its not the best method but its extremely discrete. So my question is i am looking to do a DWC system. My schematic would be 5 gal air pump running to a T connector then tubing with air line valves and air stones to 2 bottles with the tops cut out, sprayed white with a strip left clear either side and covered with white tape as to check water level. Mesh pot with clay balls in the cut out in top of bottle. My question is, my case interior gives me about 15" from base to lights(cfl), what would be the smallest container I could effectively use to achieve a DWC method? Failing that is there I a different hydro application I could use more effectively in my confined space?

The hydroponic method of plant production by means of suspending the plant roots in a solution of nutrient-rich, oxygenated water.

So.... you could use a 2" tall res, and it'd still be DWC.. Go to Walmart or a department store and look for small storage bins. You can use clear ones just sprayplant them w/ primer then black paint, or just get opaque ones

awesome, thankyou, what size mesh pot would i use in that? also what height could I expect from plant given proper care?

Well you'd have to find the right size netpots on the internet.. honestly I think the smallest they make are 2" netpots. I grew a 20" tall plant in a rez that was about 5" sq. so you should be able to do anything! Make sure that you do whatever you can to NOT let light get into your rez.. I kinda disagreed with people saying that when I started hydroponics.. now I have root slime lol. Good luck sir
