small foliage problem with outdoor plants. (mildew or mold?)

So, this is week 6 or 7 since i planted seedlings outdoors. now there are several plants that have a whitish growth on some of the leaves. looks like a mold or mildew? any help on what it is and what i can do to stop this?

the leaf in the picture is from that plant

Yeah, that looks like powdery mildew. Usually caused by too much shade and is plant specific. You need to use a fungicide to eliminate the problem. BUT, fungicides are a pain in the ass because you need to be consistant with your applications. ALSO, fungicides are problematic because its not too common to see an organic form of the liquid. But do some research, you will be able to find organic fungicides. All organic because you will be smoking the shit.
Check out NEEM oil at your local Home Depot also and check out the back of the package to see the usage.

Mildew only appears when when there are low temps, do you have a bunch of specks on you leaves?

alright i thought it was going to be powdery mildew or dust mold. but there are some specs on the leaves. how low does the temp have to go for the mildew to thrive?

also i heard a baking soda solution might work. is this method bunk?

never heard of the baking soda method. Your best bet is to go to HD or Lowe's or your local garden store and find an organic fungicide.

sounds good. i'll check that out today. should i trim any leaves with signs of powdery mildew or will the fungicide take care of that

The specs indicate that you have spider mites, get some neem oil and spray on top and under the leaves to freeze reproduction.

nah, just let nature run her course. The fungicide will take care of the rest
