Small closet grow, 2 plants - 225w CFL + 147w LED

Hi there! I decided to make a thread in this section because my original thread seems to be in the wrong section now (Stealth/Micro/Cab) since I've upgraded my set up lol. Plus more people would probably see my grow here.


The set up:

- 20x36x62" Mylar lined tent
- 3 55w 2700k CFL bulbs
- 1 60w 6500k CFL bulb
- 1 147w UFO LED
- 4" intake and exhaust fans

The plants:

- 1 Female Seeds WWxBB
- 1 Black Skull Five-O
- AN Jungle Juice Micro/Bloom/Grow
- Cal/Mag
- Molasses
- FF Ocean Forest & MG perlite
- 2 gallon smart pots


Here they are exactly 30 days since showing pistils, 42 days since the 12/12 flip (pics taken today)



More sativa heavy plant on the left is the Five-O, on the right is the WWxBB

Oops lol. Well beautiful looking ladies you got. How do you like the LED for growing? I been thinking about trying LED for some time now.

Thanks!! I literally JUST got the LED today haha. It's a cheapy chinese light but the spectrum is decent and it's incredibly bright... so far so good!! I'm really hoping to see a noticeable explosion in bud growth in the next week or 2.. we'll see. But I only spent $78 on this thing and it has a 3 yr warranty... I took 2 of my big CFL's out and replaced it with this and really haven't noticed any difference in heat produced so that's awesome!

Wow not bad for a 150 watt correct? For that price id love to buy one. Did you buy online or at a local hydro store? Im currently building a CFL light fixture that is air cooled. Going to have 28 23 watt 1500 lumens CFL bulbs then two 300 watt CFL 20,000 Lumens for boost bulbs during flowering. I would love to add LED side lighting.

I know people that are big into growing with LED's would probably just say it's nothing more than a useless POS, but I think my plants are really liking this light! I actually bought it on ebay - said it was used, but I can't find any indication of that. I mean, how bad can it be, especially for supplemental lighting? It can't just be 147w of nothing!

Holy shit!! I don't beleive it!! About a month ago (right at the beginning of flowering), I tried taking a clone from the WWxBB, stuck it in a water bottle with light nutes and really didn't think it would root... but it did! I planted it in some perlite about a week ago and it was looking REALLY sad... really didn't think it could possibly pull through, but I had a little sliver of hope. Now it's actually green and looking good!! Maybe even has some new growth!! I really wish I took pics when I first planted it... but here it is now, cross your fingers for me! lol

Looks like a beautiful clone to me.
I use party cups with neoprene collars in there to hold my clones in place in a light nute water, also keeps the water from escaping over time. It works great for me. I also dip the end in clone-x.

Quite funny this is my first post and I have a very close to identical setup but with 90W ufo led and several cfl's. Both are WWXBB also! Been a slow start but now popping. Have 3 6500K 23W cfl with lamp reflectors plus the 90W led. Been thiking that the high amount of warm spectrum (red) that the led puts out will be enough for warm lighting but the cool (blue) there is less on the led so I supplement with the cool 6500K cfls on the side...any suggestions on lighting for me cause we are on the same route. Im 45 days in and getting half the veg and height you are but like I said slow start... Not sure about anything but yours seems to look nice without any hid or hps so congrats !!
