Hello everyone

Just thought I'd show what I've been working with lately. Got me a DWC set up with a few plants going. Thinking I'm going to go a couple more days then I'm going to switch to 12/12 just for space reasons and to weed out possible males early. I'd like to keep a constant flow of green going so this is the best possible way I think I could do so. I've seen a lot of people who go a shorter veg and turn out with wonderful results. So I plan on doing the same.

Got a few pics here of various strands....Blue Mystic from Nirvana, some mid's bagseed, Double Gum from White Label and lastly Original Skunk X Haze courtesy of Nirvana. I'll break each pic down in 2 post...

Pic 1...This is my biggest and oldest, it's bagseed that had a terrible start off. It made a wonderful recovery and is thriving now. It's got some lil baby leaves coming from around where each node starts. What exactly does that mean...

Pic 2...My biggest and oldest Blue Mystic thas doing pretty well after a rough beginning.

Pic 3...A MUTIE?!?!?!? Crazy looking little thing. Another Blue Mystic that I have going, I dont know why it did that. It's weird?

Pic 4...My two Double Gums...one that's been topped as you can see. Looked today and you can see close up where it's starting to grow back. Hard to see in the pics though.

Pic 5...Two more bagseeds that I have going from mid seeds. I hope they turn out well. Anyone ever grown any mid bagseeds, if so please feel free to lemme know how they turned out.

Pic...6 As you can see, there's two rockwools in some pot. I done that because like I stated before im doing an earlier 12/12 and if they do turn out to be females i'm going to prune them to have one giant cola. The one on the left is an Original Skunky X Haze cross from Nirvana and the one of the right is another Blue Mystic.

Descriptions of the first two pics are in the above post (Pictures 5 & 6)

The next two are of the set up...DWC inside a Rubbermaid I built with exhaust fan on top and two passive intakes on the bottom. PURE CFL grow and not too shabby I'd say for it. Temps range from 68-73 during the night with lights off and 75-82 with the lights on. So, they're fairly stable. I forgot to mention my other computer fan that blows across the CFL's.

It's going downnnnnnnnn...ladiez and gents. Tonite will be the first nite my lil ones go into 12/12 for flowering. As I said before, for space reasons. They've gotten a decent size anyways, well at least most of them. The rest are pretty much going 12/12 str8 from seedling which seems to work fine. I hope sex starts to show soon, I think I already have some preflowers come in I need to take a few pics.

So...at 8:45 tonite the lights got shut off. I'm wondering whether I'd see a difference in the morning, as far as size goes not buds or sexing. We shall see, I guess i'll continue to write to myself. Seems that this is turning into a grow or "flowering" log lol.

Til the morning comes, time for me and a coupe of friends to engage in a {Session} :blsmoke:

I don't advice going back to 12/12 just to pic out your males.
It messes them up when you change their lighting back and forth.

The mutated one may have gotten pinched but from my experience it is always the underdog that turns out to be the best. As long as it is healthy it will do well.

Until this year all my grows have been from bagseed. I won't say ALL of it was great because it wasn't BUT 80% of it was fine. The only problem I have had with bagseed is not knowing the strain and growing outdoors in Canada. I am quite sure most of the seeds I have had in the past have been from inddor strains and some of them just did not finish in time before the cold weather hit.

You sure have a nice selection right now. You're gonna be happy.

Thanx Lacy for stopping by, I thought I was going to have to end up talkin to myself in this thread lol

But about the 12/12...I'm not going like back and forth from veg to flower, and back to veg. All the plants have been vegged before I go to 12/12 my biggest ones are like a month old...they struggled in the beginning though. And the others are a few weeks.
I have height restrictions thas why im doing it early but it works fine though lol

Well...after day one of 12/12 I'm pretty amped. I can already see a size difference in just 12 hours it's amazing! I'll be posting pics in a few to see if you all can see a change from the last pictures in previous post to the new ones.

The bagseed I've been using is from mids that one of my friends sells. I like to keep em because one they're free, two...even though I dont know the background, I like a lil mystery lol and lastly they can turn out be some fire. Some people like to put it down but shoot it beats having to spend 80-100 dollars on some seeds. Granted I would every now and then but thats a lot of money and there's not guarantee that you'll get females unless you do feminised.

oh yea my boy grew some mid-grade seeds in his aeroponic system and it turned out better than some named stuff i had bought at 300 an oz. just cause it dont have a name does not mean it wont be good. remember unless you know where the stuff you are buying came from you never really know what it is unless it just stands out. alot of people will just slap a name on nuggs so they can turn around and try to sell it for more than it is worth.

you got that right krump, it's amazing the names people will come up for green lol. I know with a lil TLC they can definitely turn out well. I'm going to keep you all posted on how they turn out. They're on day 3 of 12/12 and getting bigger by the day...very nice!!!

) The ones I topped are coming back full swing and now I'm juss waiting to see which one of em is going to show sex 1st. Here's more pic of top views of the little ones.

Please tell me these aren't grown from seed... I don't think they're mature enough yet for flowering... They're pretty small. They've been growing a month? They're mature when they stop growing symmetrical. I'm not exactly sure what will happen when you flower them so young, but I'm pretty sure they'll keep vegging for a while, only slower.

Yes...they are grown from seed. If you go read the previous post, im doing a different method that's been coming to the light more so to speak. Some "Dutch Method," where you can go 12/12 earlier or from seed.

Nah they wont keep vegging, plants know when u switch the lights to automatcially start flowering. Thats why when u see people say on here, should I make a gradual change when they make the switch not to do so. People dont really know about it so they are weary and make comments. Mind you Wholesome I'm not going against anything you're saying, I know exactly what you're saying about waiting. But I dont have that much space and there has been proven proof that this works just fine if not the same. I'll post a pic when I get home of some peoples yields I came across that went 12/12 early or from seed.

Steady progress daily in 12/12 Flowering day 5. Every time I take a look in the morning, it just makes my day. Im still waiting for a few of them to show sex, the biggest ones at least. The rest are going to continue to get a lil bigger before they do so I'm fine with that. Here's new pics...

I pretty much keep the pics in the same order I wrote in the first post in the thread just in case anyone wanted to know

Been a couple of days since my last post, it's Day 8 of 12/12. They're getting bigger daily so thas very good to me. I'll keep this brief until I get back later. Lights go off at 8:30 every evening adn come on at 8:30 in the morning, that way the lights come on right when i make up in the morning before school. I can do my usual checking of pH and things and they're progress. But here they are.

Pic 1...Oldest bagseed thas growing like a monster, but staying short and stout for the most part.

Pic 2...My oldest Blue Mystic thas been topped and coming back, good node seperation too

Pic 3...My Mutie Blue Mystic, dont know what has happened to it but it's growing fine so i'm lettin it go.

Pic 4...The two Double Gums from White Label. The one is topped and growing back vigorously. The lil one is a wee big younger but it's still growing strong

Pic 5...Two bagseeds that have been growing crazy since day one.

Pic 6...The bigger one is the Blue Mystic and the smaller one is the Original Skunk X Haze.

I also don't think the 12/12 is a problem for the plants. After all cannabis grows world wide and there is no 16/8 light schedule all over the world. I would say 12/12 is more average and ideal. I think the color determines flowering more than time. Just my 2 cents.
