One of my spots that i grew in last year has a lot of air traffic for smaller planes. Theres an airport for private planes about a mile away.
They fly right over my spot. Do most of these planes not look for things like this or should i be worried? They are privatly owned planes. I grew two plant their last year that were over 7 foot tall. Do you think if i put more out there they will be more likly to notice?:weed:

chances are they arent looking for you, but better safe than sorry. more plants= more noticeable 100% of the time :) i was reading some shit in a book that was pretty sweet. large pots with slow release nutes hung way up in a tree. sounded like a novel concept and when i find a good spot im gonna try it out. good luck, happy growing.

ya but thats a lot of work going into trees plus you have to haul all ur shit up there water and all. I have way to0 many plants to do a tree grow. Every tree in the woods would have to have one.:bigjoint:

If they're only a mile away from the airport, they're not looking for marijuana plants. They're totally focused on landing the plane without crashing and dying.

However, during this last half minute or so before landing, their eyes are focused forward and downward. Which increases the chance that they may accidentally notice your plants a couple hundred feet below them. Not likely, but still, it's a definite possibility. I probably wouldn't plant there. Is there another, similar spot a couple hundred yards away from the flight path?

A mile from airport I probably wouldnt do either. Not sure about helicopters presence looking for weed around you but if so they could use that little airport for a jump off point or refueling. Also anywhere there is an airport planes will be flying all aound it on decent or assent. Your not suppose to come into a runway on a straight approach or take off on a straight approach. When takeing off you are suppose to do a 90 degree turn and then a 45. On landing you have baseline approach and such where you pretty much do a half circle around the airport to let your presence be known to incoming and outgoing traffic, especially a samll airport where there is no traffic controller

Every now and then there will be a helicopter but 95% of the time its planes. The reason i want to keep the spot is because its somewhere where im guaranteed no animals or humans to go and i have a water supply right there.:leaf:
