clone taken from a mother @ 18 hrs of light, has to be taken to 14 hrs. of light once its rooted for what i need to do. Will this possibly trigger a flowering phase or just slow down VEG growth, which is what I hope to happen....I know it sounds crazy, slowing it down, but thats what i gotta do..... ?????Blessings

That is 100% determined by your genetics. I have stable Kush strains that would bloom hard under that light, and other varieties that wouldn't change much, if at all at 14/10.

Remember that plants to still grow during the dark cycle. Usually, an increase of light intensity will cause short inter-nodal lengths and you can top it and "keep it from growing too quickly" that way.

Also, genetics determines how much a plat will "stretch" after it is put int bloom. If you have an indica, it may not stretch much at all. Thus it may slow down. However if it a long-stretching plant like a sativa then your screwing with the light cycle may cause it to stretch faster!

I'm sure others will be curious, why do you want to slow it down?
