Slow growth

Hi, again! I’m sorry for so many questions but i don’t want to mess up just because i didn’t do everything I can. I’m almost 4 weeks into veg. Do you think this slow growth its only because of the lights or it may be slower because its growing like 16 tips at the same time. It’s my first

The light is probably the biggest issue. Your water/feeding schedule and nutrients might be a factor also.

Can you please recommend one? In my country the only good one i could find was like 1000 bucks and I can’t afford it…this one was like $90 and it said it was full spectrum but i know now its bullshit…i also ordered one three weeks ago and never arrived, no response, nothing…i want what’s best for them and i don’t know what to do

As for nutrients i have a fert with higher nitrogen and compost tea and i feed them like once of twice a week but half the dose and the soil is a mix tha has also diffrent foods for them

If you can buy good quality led bulbs, you can build one amazing led panel, I live in the UK and I will never buy a panel now I have built my own.

I got the idea from this video and have built some very effective led panels, Don't know of anyone else to ever build one like mine, would be happy to help you, let me look up some video on wiring up bulb holder, that would be a good start

This is how you wire up bulb holders

after wiring it up you screw the bulb holder down into the wood

I used 0.75mm² 2 Core PVC Flex, use pliers to cut and strip the wire.
work out the space you would like to grow in, build one at a time, and space the bars out 8"
and the bulbs every 8"

the end one fix it like this

yeah electricity is dangerous so do your research first and i got a mean shock ones from those led bulbs with the diffusers off. what you have to do is order these solderless holders which would make your job way easier


find a national dealer and order cree cxb1830s 3000K and 4000K 50/50.

then order a good heatsink and that heatsink will not be predrilled so you have to drill it on your own which is somewhat a task with aluminium but there are cutting oils sold which makes the process much easier.

once the holes are drilled then you have to place the diodes with the holders and wire everything in series (or parallel but i choose series) and you have to also find a corresponding driver and if not using active cooling (computer fans: which would need a seperate corresponding driver) then you’d have to drive them pretty soft maybe at 350ma which would work well with a good heavy heatsink but drilling the heatsink is the thoughest part of this process ime you never get the perfect alignment without automated drilling

oh you know what this is gonna be hard work for you i guess so i think you’d still very happy with a couple of 20w led bulbs with diffusers taken out but don’t ever touch the metal surface under the diffusers.

I already have the computer fan prepared so i think this might work so i’ll give it a try. It would work or not. But if i don’t succed what do you think about viparspectra xs1500? I think it’s the best one i afford to buy as here $1000 is like two month medium wage :-(

I have touched the led and you get a little shock, makes you jump, not sure how you can compare that to touching cree led with over double the power or a 600w hps bulb :o they explode.

The bulbs more work but you can buy the bulbs anywhere and if the bulb blows you can replace it easy, the bulb holders should last 20 years
