Slightly concerned

So we have an appraiser coming to look at the house for refinancing at a lower interest rate.
I'm legal but don't care to have the pigs called on me, there's no way I'm hiding this grow .
My question , shall I be up front with the appraiser and tell them I have a legal medical grow or shall I play dumb and chance them calling the pigs?
I've spent good money to keep this stealth and now I gotta invite someone right the fuck in.

I just went through this scenario at my house. I only have a small veg closet going atm and tried to lock the room off to keep the appraiser out. They refused to do the appraisal until they were allowed entry to the room. I sent them home that day saying I didn't know where the key was (blamed it on the kids). A few days later they came back and I moved the plants out for the day so I could let them in.

Assuming you have more to hide than that, I'd let them in but be sure you are within your limits. If you are up front about what is going on they'll probably not mess with you. If you deny access you won't get the appraisal.

yeah, there's no hiding my deal once I let them in. as soon as you hit the basement you'd know.of course 75 percent of the basement is inhabited , I have a 4 by 4 and a 2 by 4 tent in one room that's also my kids bedroom (he's of age and carded) , right off that room is a closet which is about 5 by 7 . I think I'm gonna be up front and honest even going as far as showing them my rec , I'm legal I just don't want police here , hasn't been one here for any other reason for a good 6 years (teens, they aren't teens anymore) so I see no reason for there to be one here now.

I think that's your best/only real option.

When my dad went through this he had a much different experience.
He simply left the door locked on that side of the basement and said that his son keeps snakes and other reptiles in there and he refuses to go in. Appraiser had no issue just writing it as an unfinished basement.
This is the same as when you call the cable company and get 6 different answers from 6 different people. Everyone will have a different experience, and every appraiser is different. In fact just had a customer get a loan based on just a walk around the outside. That was a very low loan to value loan though, so i doubt you will be that lucky.
I personally would lock that shit up and say snakes, that will make 90% of people not want to go in there and a very large percentage to just get the hell out of the house entirely.

Yea there should be absolutely no reason for him to need to see inside he tent lol if he says he does tell him to fuck off

Sounds like a good plan. When they appraised my house they took pictures of every room. If they do the same at your place they'll just have some nice veggie shots...

I'm sure they'll think you grow more than veggies but those guys must have some special certification or something to make sure they aren't thieves. Imagine all the nice stereos and jewelry and stuff they see when they go poking around people's houses.

Switched insurance companies with 29 ladies 6 weeks into flower... Completely disassembled the room and packed all my ladies into a uhaul... Wifey was home while they did the inspection and I drove around the block with the uhaul. Plan worked perfect but sucked when I found out he didn't even look in the room! Oh well better safe than sorry and 35$ for a uhaul allowed me to finish out the ladies with no worries

I think I'm having it covered , my only concern will be the mob boss odor but if I run the can on the tent there should be none. I'm disassembling the room placing it at the back of the room and moving all kinds of shit in the room so it is nothing but a room packed with a bunch of shit! the grow things {ballast , reflector, co2) will be behind the tent with 3 plants that have been in flower for a couple weeks. I'll stack so much shit on/around the tent just opening the door to the room will be a task. I just hope that mob boss doesn't decide to smell that day because it will be in the 4 by 4 tent where I grow peppers and other mob boss plants..

I really cant' believe I'm sitting here worried about a couple plants or 6, I'm not really worried about the dude leaving and calling the pigs because he won't be seeing or smelling a thing. I guess what I'm worried about more is him passing the bank along unofficial info like we have a mmj grow here, even without seeing it it's not that hard to figure out. so everything is good to go, dudes due over in 12 hours or so, I'll surely let you know how it goes, thanks for the advice and info.Maybe one day none of us will have to worry about hiding this kind of thing, some aren't anyway. some of the outdoor grows here are unrealistic, search colorado medical greenhouse to see an example.

That dudes only concern was getting to the next job where he could make some more coin. Loans not in the bag yet but I bet it will be.

You have to "love" all the calories burned stressing about potential problems that never surface.
