thanks for all the suggestions. Here is my temporary solution until I get up the money for the radiant barrier and attic fan. The grow room in the attic is an enclosure made of the foam board with the foil on one side. I have one of my fans blowing directly onto blocks of ice I made from freezing water in a tupperware container (7x5x5 sized block). It worked great and added much needed humidity. It kept it cool for 12 hours, even though the ice had long melted. I thought about a window unit, but since my neighbor and I don't get along, I don't want to attract attention with the added noise. I am going to split the duct and run it to the attic. The only problem with that is I would have to find a place to bring the duct into the attic without the landlord noticing, so I can get my deposit back. I will go through the bathroom closet more than likely. When I started this whole hobby back in October, the plan was to have a shed built by now. I would have it nicely insulated with a window unit. Money has been tight though. I was looking into those portable ac units, but wasn't sure about the reliability.

Heat is getting ridiculous early around here. I am getting some R30 insulation tomorrow for $15 at Lowes. That should really cool off the room. When I get a good paycheck, I will be putting up some radiant barrier along with an attic fan. If all of this isn't enough, I will run some duct from the air handler.

summer came fast this year!!!!!!! I hope the insulation does the job!!!!! keep it nice and loose and don't stuff it in. the attic fan would probably make the biggest impact but lets hope you don't need to spend the $$$ on that. Good luck dude!!!!
