there are lots of benefits to being in culture. Besides being able to propagate on a huge level with less light and space but you can Regenerate plants that have had gene damage over the years(clone only strains). You can also breed and mutate genes. If your smart enough you can extract DNA and isolate genes. Put those genes into agrobacterium and transfer them into other plants. I have heard of people isolating the gene that's responsible for THC production and put it into tomatoes, cucumber, and orange trees.
