Damn it. The unthinkable happened last night, a set of my lights fell onto the plants! The tape must've gave out maybe from moisture. However the lights narrowly missed the tops of the plants. They must've been laying there for hours but only the fan leaves got a bit toasty so it's not the end of the world. I'll just have to be more careful next time, can someone maybe suggest a better method of hanging them besides tape? Thanks!

Some pics of the ladies (and damage):

This one is doing nicely:

Slightly Injured plant:

This plant sustained the most damage, but still in the race:

Aqua globes at 50% capacity (They're chugging that shit!)

That's about it for now, going to get some filters and do some ventilation tonight, hopefully will be running all 6 CFLs by tomorrow!

Alright, update time!

So, today gidget and I were browsing a hardware store trying to think of ways to exhaust heat from the top of the box. When all of a sudden we stumbled across an interesting contraption called "Cyclone Booster Fan Plus". It's basically a heat register with a small cyclonic fan inside. Its rated for 300 CFM and feels like it too. It costs about $38. Neither of us had seen anyone else use these so we figured we'd give it a shot and experiment with it.
The Product:

Unboxed:

Adjustable temp settings and fan speed:

Installed, blowing a pad with ease:

Unit inside the box (mylar needs a tweaking :S):

The 'booster' is definitely creating some negative pressure in the box. We might be routing the exhaust into the attic right above, so we don't have to deal with carbon scrubbers anymore. Thanks for dropping in!

That fan looks pretty interesting. How loud is that sucker? I would imagine 300CFM in a setup that small has got to have a little bit of a noise issue.

while waiting for a medium pizza i decided to walk on over to home depot across the street and pick up a digital thermometer and moisture meter

should be better than the thermometer that we've got in there right now.

So, turns out the booster fan wasn't such a great idea. Hemp4Victory was right, it was too loud and drew too much attention. However taking it out made me realize that it probably wasn't even needed. The air coming out of the top is still pretty strong. The booster fan is not recommended for stealth grows :(.

Here are just some pics of the ladies.

Yeah man that is definitely not pre-flowers. Still too early for that as far as I know. Maybe another 2 weeks or so and then we could see some pre-flowers begin to form.

P.S. Early congrats Skybike on your able to roll status. You will earn it if you have the decency to respond to this post :P

Thanks dope, new pics coming soon!

The Aqua Globes are working wonderfully, they lasted about 6 days until they ran out, more than a week short of what they claim they will last for. However I think this is because there is a lot of peat in my soil, so it's airer than most soils. Or the plants just chug that shit like its going out of style. Either way they give a nice steady flow of water, the top of the soil doesn't get wet so I have no more mold issues and no chance of stem rot. The plants seem to love them, I might pick up a couple more, they are only about 15 a pair, I think its well worth it.

As for the Cyclone Booster Fan, Yeah.. that was a mistake on my part. Firstly it is just way too loud, it's not recommended for stealth grows. Secondly, it probably isn't needed as there is already enough negative pressure in the box from 2 intake fans to get a good exhaust flow out the top. I will be returning it on Friday, it probably is a good a product in its own right, just wasn't right for me :S
