Your right, having to sit on the floor to smoke as my chair is full of shavings lol, broke a screw and drill bit sofar :(
I broke two of the small 2.5mm drill bits cause do to lack of lube and trying to rush. One stuck in the sink and was a bugger to get out. Did mine on the floor on top of a shop blanket so I could still hang with the wife. When I got tired I learned to put it up till the next day... :)

I didn't break a single bit or screw. Take my advice. 7/64" bit and self tapping m3 8mm long screws. I didn't use ANY lube either

Bonjour
I used an electric screwdriver to make the hole...I started with a small bit and then the size I need...no lube nothing just a normal speed and not too much pressure but you need to stay straight!
I am about to drill 38 hole plus the one for the wires...so a lot of holes...lol!
I will let you know if I break a bit this time...maybe I was lucky last time!

Not Lucky, just not an idiot. Aluminum is so soft. I didn't even do a pilot hole to use to step up to a bigger drill bit. ALL YOU NEED is a 7/64" & M3 Self Tappers.

Got one of the panels roughly built and running beautifully, for those who haven't seen these in action yet they are much brighter than any picture can see.
I mean so bright they hurt your eyes even looking off angle from them, so bright the reflecting walls seem to bleach, as if a giant has lifted the roof off the house letting the sun in :D

One more to build and then I can tidy them up and give them a nice polish and paint!

Are those 3070's or 3590's? I want reflectors for my 3590's but am a little lost on which adapters to get. I used chip loks.

With my reflectors I had to tie them together with thin stainless steel wire to the LED holder through the tiny pin prick holes at the opposing corners of the frame.
Saved me having to drill extra sets of holes and works fine :)

Ooooh so you had to ONLY BUY the reflectors? No adapters? Did you make these "pin prick" holes yourself? Would you be so kind as to take some close ups and detailed photos for me so I can get an idea? Cause I can kiiiinda see it but not well enough.

Nice light. Nice to find another uk guy here.

Tme.eu are good for heatsinks. They charge £7 postage if I remember rightly.

Subbed up. Any idea what your gonna grow yet?
