Skinny Buds

I have been flowering for 60 days now, NLxBig bud. Plant is about 3" tall with lots of bud spots. The problem I have is the buds are all really skinny.

Unfortuantley I had a male near that ended up pollinating this plant so I have alot of seeds. Did this screw my bud production? The buds are really really skinnny.

Will they fatten up..? 60 days I thought flowering would be about finished!

Did you mean 3' tall? The plant will invest much of it's energy into makin' seeds so yes bud density will suffer, but on the bright side you'll have plenty of seeds. Have any pictures?

buds will increase in size in the last 2 weeks of flowering. but seeds will diminish results.

they will fatten up a little bit but its using energy to make seeds as well.

I have a few suggestions for you after seeing the pics. 1)try to get some CFLs if possible very close around the sides -2)use some co2 -3)use molasses in your water
Sorry if your already doing those things, but it's all I could think of at the moment.

well, i dont really know what to tell you and i see some pretty good ideas already. BUT... if maybe i could get a couple of those seeds that would be awesome. my snow white, ppp, and supergirl just came to me in a package with a customs sticker on it saying the seeds were seized soo if you could help me out it would be appreciated.

Well the type of seeds I have say 8 weeks to flower. They have been flowering since May 16th, so its about 8 weeks exactly. I am going to start flushing now but I am not even sure if there is any real smokeable bud on this!!

You do know that plant is a hermie, right? Those yellow bananna looking things are are male flowers.

just a few questions if you dont mind bro to see if i can help what size and type of light? what was your routine? what size pot? distance of lamp to plant? was this seed purchased or found in bigbud bag weed? on 1 of the pictures looks like male flower cumin out of bud am i seeing things or is this correct? have you been interupting the plants during lights out? did you change to a lower nitrogen higher potasium diet for your plant during flowering?

Wow,that hermie has gone nutts,you've got what looks like 30 or 40 open pollen sacks on that thing,its gonna be hard to get rid of all the pollen in the grow room .

Its the only plant I have. First time grower.

I was under the impression that hermies could still have viable buds. Am I wrong?

Should I just scrap this plant all together and start over?

My light is a 400 HPS that switched to a MHS for flowering. I never interuppted flowering cycle. My temps were a little hot.....usually around 85 in the closet.

yes the herm can have valuable buds but you haveto pick out male flowers a couple of times a day i suggest scrap it and start again best of luck unlucky to get a moff but happens to the every1 from time to time i suggest grow more reduce risk.

that plant is more male then female,it is a sad way to learn,but we all go through it,im not sure their will be much to smoke on it but their will be some,do you have other seeds you bought and what strain is that.

if you dont want to waste any more time growing it,cut it clean the room really good with bleach and start new seeds,if they hermie you may have problems with how you grow or faulty genetics,were did you get these seeds from.for the time you invest in a grow it is advised to have quality genetics,im not saying you cant get good genetics from a bag seed,you can.Just be sure to do your home work.all you need to know is on this site.goodluck.
