Cookie crosses herm, it's no secret, you can't breed it out and still have the traits your after in those plants, usually.
At the end it's a numbers game as you had also good results from them.
I love lil herm plants, especially if they are killer and they herm just enough to make you some seeds of the same killer stuff your smoking but not enough to overcome bud production.
Those that herm like crazy should be thrown, but little herm never hurts nobody.
My cheese clone got lil pollen on it from a herm plant I had with it, just enough for 40-50 seeds, they were awesome to grow.
If it was the cheese to herm and seed themselves or the next cheese clone next to it at the same rate, I would be a millionaire today lol

I have to agree with everything you said, I knew the risk of herm with the lineage. I definitely jumped to conclusions too soon, and don't mind eating humble pie if they turn out stellar. One thing I will say for them is if you combined all the phenos together it would be a winner!
In reality I was looking for a vanilla, blueberry, kush and hash. It's there, just on 3 different phenos.
They haven't finished yet, so over the next few days I expect alot of changes, once they're down and smoked I can give a real opinion.
I have to admit though I was wrong to jump to conclusions too soon.
I've stated before I haven't ran beans for 10+ yrs, hiatus for 5yrs and clones before that. I was very fortunate to have ran what I did so I suppose my expectations were very high
I've just popped some Fluer de Mal beans so see how they compare.

That's cool, when I have 3 selections like that, I start to mix and breed them to get one that has all the traits I'm after, but it's a lengthy process.
I'm always waiting for smoke tests ;)

The thought did cross my mind, I kept a cut of a male that caught my eye too. Structure was very similar to the 'blue sherbet' pheno also had a nice stench to the stem wank.
Out of curiosity, if I were to go down the route your suggesting, would you reverse one with the best structure and hit that pollen to the 2 pheno that have the traits im looking for?
Definitely a lengthy process, i thought about letting the male pollinate the phenos that I have too and creating a little f2 selection (correct me if I'm wrong)
The other thing that crossed my mind was if I get a male put of the Bubblegumbx3 from fleur de mal hit that to my preferred female of the BPxICC.

First define your target, if it's seed making, keep your male, if it's pheno hunt for a better smoke, throw your male as you won't need it and it will dilute your desired traits by 50% from the get go.
Sure before you do anything check if your fem of choice like to produce vital pollen before you throw anything.
About which one to reverse in the cross, the general rule is it's chance, we can't know from the start who will dominate the cross or if x is the right donor or y, that requires experimeting with what you have.
If you wanna keep the lineage going, cross a fem that has the traits you want to other same lineage fem with additional traits you want.
That's mainly for smoking, not exploring entire lines of the same genetics which males contribute to some extent.

Makes sense the male would dilute the traits by 50%. I think il stay in my lane for the time being :)
Il bin that male then, no point taking up precious room.

Smoking traits that is it's important to say so people don't get it wrong..
I have like 8 packs of sin city I'm waiting to explore, mainly in reversing the ones I find to cross with everything else in order to make true smoking traits backed up seeds.

Hey Folks,

I was wondering if anyone is growing the Sin Mint Cookies F1 regs that have been available recently. I got 2 of them looking good at 2 weeks old. I have not come across any recent conversations about growing this plant using these current beans. Very interested in getting more info. I can post a pic if anyone is interested in checking out the seedlings.
