new age hippies don't stink, they continue to go to work but support the cause of peace love and happiness. The Neo-Hippies - however, wear tie-die, and never have weed, they just drift from friend to friend, getting their weed fix. They listen to shitty bands like 311 and Bruno Mars, and wear lots and lots of hemp braclets and necklaces with meaningless beads around them. They eventually burn up every bridge that was ever built by others and find themselves living with their parents and selling mids out of their mailbox at 11pm.

In the 60's and early 70's we went by the name 'freaks' more than hippies, though hippie was also used fairly often. Being a 'freak" was something noble to us and nothing at all like being a freak.

If people have ever seen the movie "Woodstock" they might remember when Arlo Guthrie came on the stage, looked at the crowd and said "a lotta freaks."

Haha if judge yuh have no time to love!! I am I and if yuh want to call me a hippie cuz I were hemp nd tie die then I take it as praise!! But I dnt go around calling myself one I believe labeling something takes the uneekness away frm anything... It does hurt me to see fellow brothers on here calling others fake becuz the wear what they like to wear..I love wearing all my hemp nd all the other stuff... Yuh r nothing better than just a hater that probably isn't happy with oneself... Oh and to who ever said that they just wear pointless beads or wat not who gave yuhbthe write to say what's meaningful to that person or not.. Yuh dnt no why they have it or are wearing it cuz yuh can't even take the time to get pass the cover..
