Simple flushing questions

I bought a digital ph meter . I can finally throw my test drops away.
I'm going to test my runoff next feeding, I believe my soil ph got too low. (FFOF) Should be 6.8
If i end up flushing, i know how to flush, what i want to know is are you flushing the locked out nutes away, and or will the runoff ph change as i flush.
If its, lets say 5.0 and i flush a 2 gallon pot with 4-6 gallons at 6.5ph will my runoff start to read higher as i flush?
The hydro guy said adding amendments to the soil to raise soil ph can take months. As i'm 3 weeks into flowering, not sure the best way to get my soil ph back in range. (If after testing runoff it's high, or low)
Thanks

Yes. I never had to flush with more than triple the volume of the pot to fix any pH problem.

I'd go with water of a pH of 7.

I'd recommend you get one of those cheap pH+moisture+light garden meters. They're generally unreliable when it comes to detail or if the soil is too dry, but at least you'll know if you're closer to 5 or to 7.

flushing should fix your problems. Make sure to let it dry when your done and before the next feeding. also recommend dolomite lime as part of your next soil mix to help keep the ph stable. Good luck.

Will do. As for the dolomite, l use 3-1-1 Foxfarm soil, perlite, and vermiculite. What ratio lime would you add to that?

not to sound like a jerk but thats why soil is becoming a thing of the past.. once things like ph become a problem it takes a bit to correct it.. that why i love hydro and ph buffers
