simple coco question

Is all coco alike? Brand for brand.I know the difference between pith, coir, and croutons.

Just wondering if different brands would have greater our lesser benefits to each other?

No, they are not all the same. Some are really clean some aren't. Some are known for lock out issues. I don't like brick coco. Nutrifield coco is clean and I have had good results with it.

Some is made from certain parts of the coconut. I think nutrifield has a lot of the fibers in it. It is extra spongy

If you clean the coco of any brand with a flushing chem, wouldn't they be both be the same inert soil-less mix.

I would assume flushing the coco clean would remove any and all salts within the medium.
