Silent Ballast?

Hey guys, anyone know of a good brand that makes a silent ballast. I want to replace my noisy fan cooled one (apollo). Before I go buy one I thought I would ask from people who have owned a ballast that stays silent. Digital is prefferable.

I have a galaxy.. thing doesn't make a peep..

Look at the Dimlux extreme, with climate control, you can control the light intencity
based on the environment or plant temperature. also this can simulate sunrising by
dimmering light up and down.

This ballast can run both 400 and 600 watt bulbs.

I use a lumatek.

Doesn't make a noise at all.

Agree that Lumateks are silent and very dependable.

Lumatek 400 watt super hps here and it doesn't make a sound.

Hydrostarr is what u need

Solestek makes a ballast that senses other ballast turns them on at different times and doesn't make a peep also has built in timer too.

just to add in for the Lumatek 400, not a sound, which was one of the most important aspects for me to start.

Yer the fans in ballasts are so loud, lumatek it is then, thanks boys!..and ladies!?

Almost any digital ballast really. I currently have an htg supply 600w silent and a cheap ebay Apollo 400w both are near silent.

best ballast i have gotten is a phantom 1000w it does not make any noise at all and keeps cool, by far the best ballast i have used
