Sign of Good Weed?

well my roach left over on my joint is brown with resin.. like at the end there is about 3 cm of thick resin. the buds had a bunch of crystals, also plenty o easily visible orange hairs.

did the joint get you stoned? thats how i tell if its good

For me, all I need to do is smell it. Yet to smoke a shite bud that smelt good.

Looks can be deceiving but also play a strong part - it should look good.

But yeah, the smoke and following high is the be-all-end-all for sure.

if you don't smoke good bud often then yeah any good smelling bud is gonna get you higher than shit bud...

but when you're dealing with very high grade bud from growers that are essentially competing with eachother in california.... there are LOTS of buds that smell great that don't get you as high as certain buds that may not have as desireable of a smell. sometimes you get lucky and get both in one. just sayin it is possible.

and yeah I say like the dude above did, smoke it...get fuckin high.... if you didn't get high it sucks... if you get way blown its dank bud... but if you're in one of those states where you're getting bad bud all the time anything green and crystally with smooth flavor and good high is good weed... the /hella/ good weeds would probably knock you on your ass in 2-3 hits after having shit bud for months on end....

yea looks can be decieving, ive smoked some caca lookin stuff that got me baked. and some good looking stuff that faded away right after it kicks in. i remember earlier this year i got some "medical" shit from RI and it was fucking wack. i couldnt belive it. paid out the ass for it too.

I agree that looks can be very deceiving. My friend is growing a Nemesis pheno that just gets loaded with trichomes - much more than on my Jack Herer. But when we compare these two to each other we don't grow that Nemesis for a long time. So you can't tell by watching trichomes - trichomes need to have THC too.
You can smell if the bud has been treated well, but that doesn't mean it's loaded with THC.

Only sure way to tell is smoke a sample - or even better vape a sample to feel the true high.

100% agreed except the even better vape it I find that if you want to truly feel the way this cannabis is, smoked is the way to go (but if you have some kinda medical condition I understand.)
