It appears your plants are growing pretty vigorously also. When you say you are using full strength Botanicare nutes, what EC/ppm level is your res at? How about your pH? Are you still on the 2x a day feeding schedule?

Thanks Rhymes.

Abnjm: I actually do not know what my ec/ppm or pH levels are. I use distilled 5 gallon jugs of water to start with and I haven't had any problems. I do know that I may need to adjust things if I start having problems...but for now...I'm just doin it and doin it and doin it well lol - And yes, I am still on 2x a day (12 hrs a part) watering.

Hey BigBud992, Things are looking great first of all. Keep it up, i cant wait to see everything in like 5 weeks. I had a couple of question for you which i hope you can help me. Where can i get one of those distribution heads that you have coming from your main water line. It looks like there is a 1/2 inch line going to it and it splits out into a bunch of 1/4 tubes. This is exactly what i need for a similar setup. I acctually was turned on to your grow because i have two SW's in waterfarm setups under a growzilla. I am on about the same date as you from germ. I started germing them on 9/26 and they were sprouted and ready by 9/29. I moved then into the systems on 10/3 and they have been going crazy ever since. I will be doing a journal when i am done and in the meantime i am really excited to keep up with yours. Sorry for being so long winded... and thanks for your time.

Hey Hydrokronics what's up!?? You are correct, its a 1/2 inch lead comin into the head and then it splits into 12 different 1/4 inch tubes that are connected to these spikes that just have the water running right down to the tips. I actually have the 1/2 inch hose stuffed pretty tight into the opening (I didn't have a fitting piece for it or anything) and I just used some aquarium silicon to make it water proof tight (it works great so far). Honestly, I bought it about 2 or 3 years ago online. I just searched for 'irrigation nozzle' or 'drip nozzle' or something along those lines. I will try and search for u to see if I can re-track my steps. Lookin forward to your journal!

Thanks bro. I will try and search as well for somthing like that. I have had good succes with the waterfarm units but would also love to move to an ebb & flo. I have heard and read alot (thanks AL.B) of good things on the results of these systems. Are you planning on moving them into a ebb? what kind of system are you setting up in your flower room and how much light are you planning on giving your girls? Thanks again for you help! :)

Not a problem! My flower closet will be the same size 5x2x7 as my veg. I'll be using a 400w agromax (30% more blue) HPS bulb with a easy cool 6 hood. I have a carbon filter as well (not entirely sure if I'll need it yet [actually, I think I need it, but some other people close to me are telling me I don't if I just vent the room out the roof]). I'll probably have 4 or 6 plants going at a time with an ebb n flow system of 5 or 10 gallons.

NICE. yea. i am acctually in a similar sit. I have a carbon filter whihc i dont think i need et and i gave a vortex 6inch 449cfm PULLING air through my daystarac and my growzilla and then into my attic. I think that with the filter it is strangling my fan and it is not getting enough air for cooling! I have heard that it is much better to have the fan in the room and BLOWING the air through the hoods. I havnt yet decided completly on what to do. Let me know what you think and if you end up hooking up the filter!

To make things even wierder i started two PPP and two SW beans from nirv on almost the same day you did but my PPP were all duds.they sprouted, but had such slow and weak growth that they were worhtless. I was surprised to find someone on the same schedule let alone the ame strains. Good luck and keep it up. we will be watching ;)

-Peace

Damn that sucks hydrokron....were your nirvana's feminized? 1 of my 4 (a SW) is a lot smaller than the others [for reasons unknown at the moment] but it seems to be good now. Also, the first set of leaves on both Snow Whites were really awkward looking.

As for your set-up...I'm not sure which is better (having the fan in the attic or in the room) but I'm going to go with it in the attic because I think that will be the most stealth-like (noise).

Valueline 6 Inch Centrifugal Inline Fan - Businesslights.com

That's the fan I bought. I have a 6" duct fan (160cfm stand-alone) that will be exhausting my veg room in the summer (but right now its too cold to do that). I also bought 2 fan speed controllers. We'll see how it works. My initial plan was/is to have air from the room get pulled thru the carbon filter, thru any tubing if necessary, thru the aircooled hood, up thru the top of the grow closet (thru tubing), through the fan, then out the attic.

yea they were/are all fem. The ppp are sooo small. like the smallest i have ever since. I was so disapointed when i realized they were the issue. I thought it was the medium but i tried both soil and rockwool and none of them have been normal. but the sw are good

if you pull air thru a carbon filter and then thru a sealed reflector hood, you may end up cleaning the glass in your hood regularly...carbon dust. I'm sure lots of folks do it...i'm just saying.

I was gonna do the same thing till I started thinking about it for a while. I went ahead and got another fan just for my hood.

Let us know how it works out...

Peace.

Thanks for the info King. I'm still not decided on my final set-up as of yet.

Thanks bearo.

Well, I've run into my first problem. Apparently, my water level in the reservoir went way too low (I only use 5 gallons in an 18 gallon tote) and the pump wasn't delivering water to the girls. I guestimate that they've been without water for a good 24-36 hrs at the least - no more than 48 hrs. I have pictures attached. I went ahead and gave them a good drenching in distilled water without any additives. I've already noticed one of them starting to regain within a few minutes. There are 2, however, that look awfully crispy and extremely wilted...but I still think they have a good shot to rebound. The leaves are mostly green, still.

If they do survive, I just hope I didn't stress em to hermi :/
Let me know what you think :?

blower bro. im sorry that happened. was the res just sooo low tht the pump couldnt get any water to supply to your ladies? also if you get on of them close to coming back you mght wanna try and clone one of them so that you can try and keep the genetics going. I hope you caught it soon enough that they will come right back.

Well I have more seeds of each strain actually.....and I have more genetics (better genetics) ready to go too :) However, I misted those bitches real well, watered them extremely well, and now we just gotta wait. I'm increasing the temperature in the room in hopes that the water can be absorbed by the leaves better. The plants look like they've rebounded...but the leaves are a tad on the crispy side still. I'll post later tonight with some pics hopefully.

Approximately day 30 from germination. They were doin well until my system decided to stop pumping water to the plants. I'm not exactly sure yet what the problem was, although I know it has to do with the pump. Either the water level was too low (it really didn't look like it) or the pump was clogged...I lean more towards the first.

Some pics included.....I'm just going to keep em going. I know I should be transplanting, and I will in probably a week or so once my flower chamber is completely set up. The plants stalks and stems still look good...but the leaves are crispy and curled up....I'm not sure if those will do anything..or if they're even necessary to still get some good bud? Should I just clip the branches off? Mistakes....fuck.

I just thought of something.....

I think I read somewhere that iron used in a liquid reservoir would fall out of the solution with a magnetic driven pump..possibly clogging it. Could this be the reason my pump possibly clogged? We'll find out......tune in tomorrow.

The one in the last pic looks like she will make it. I wouldnt get rid f her. They other ones are your call. They might be fine in just a couple weeks?!?!

Also were you planning on topping them?

Let them go man, I think they will recover. As for removing branches....dont. Your plants will discard them when they dont need them anymore.
