My plants have been in 12/12 for aound 10 to11days maybe longer. I know it can take awhile for them to sex cause no matter how fast you try to get them to to show sex they wont till THEY ARE ready. Thing is im starting to see alot of V shaped pistils, I think I read that the v shaped pistils are on females. Have any of you guys noticed v shaped pistils on your female plants??

Males have Staminate flowers and females have Pistillate flowers .. What you are seeing in the transition stage are female preflowers .. Congrats

If the plant wasn't showing any pre-flowers when you changed the light cycle 12/12 then it takes about a week before they show.

And I'm agreeing with everyone that posted above me regarding pistils.

Cheers

Hermie...don't even say that word, hermie can show up at any point in time after flowering stage and it can be one lousy 4 inch lower branch on a 6 foot plant....12/12 may not be long enough for some breeds. Some strains that don't complete their full flowering stage until November could fall under a 10 light, 14 dark. Just look for white hairs for your females, and if your paying good money for your beans you should have no hermie problems unless the plants are stressed.

As a fellow newbie my first attempt at sexing plants was recently. I vegged two plants the same amount of days, about a month 24-7. Then I switched to flower 12-12. After about a week and a half later my bubblegum plant clearly showed the two white hairs all over the place. My blueberry unfortunately was just the opposite, showing clusters of balls everywhere. So I threw it out and focused all of my light on the other. Here she is today week 7 of flower.

new here to, first grow, and I am just now braving the flowering cycle, so far this is the only little bastard in the bunch, and is isolated, mainly because I really want to study all aspects of the plants. This one showed these at me 7 days into 12/122013-01-24 19-20-36.180.jpgView attachment 2495444

it definitely is, thats why i have him in a separate room!!!! I wanted to share the pics as it was caught early and you can see the way those sacs develop, like I said caught him into 7 days of 12/12. My girls still look like girls though, fingers crossed that they stay that way!
