Showing off some LST

This is my first time growing and I just feel like showing off a few LST pictures using fishing line and some tacks.

The before picture shows the 2 branches before I tied them down as well as some on the bottom I tied about 10 days back. Note the fishing line.

The after shows an up close and an overhead view of it.

Then there are a few other shots of it and how it promotes a bush factor instead of being tall and lanky.

That'd be some kind of citrus, according to my nose and taste buds. This is a regenerated-for-clones plant that I first harvested (scant) in December. There was only one seed I found in some alleged med-gro, so I had to re-veg it. No option if I wanted this excellent high.
I'm sure glad I bothered.

So you topped them, and then Tied down the new tops to get the lower branches to quicken up a bit? This allows them to even up with the new tops so you can screen it or something? and this process is called LSTing? what does that stand for? Pardon my ignorance but I've never heard that term, although the method is familiar enough. looks like you did a good job to me, I see alot of new growth, and the plants look nice, vigorous and healthy. I topped some of mine without tying down, And just doing that is causing an explosion of bushy undergrowth to come up. It's exciting to watch! Anyway, good job man!

Thanks! makes me feel  knowing I'm doing the right thing on my first grow.

As for LST it stands for Low Stress Training..so that when it grows it'll bush out more as you regulate it rather than it being tall. For example my 2 plants are a mere 9 inches or so tall but look allot bigger from above .

Also the big benefit is when you have the branch tied down going horizontal, the new growths that would normally be shooting out sideways on a regular vertical branch now turn into new main branches going upwards. Then the end of the branch you tied down will eventually right itself up too.

And even better the 3rd added benefit is the fact that the plant sends the most growth hormones to the tallest branch so if you trick it into thinking a different branch is taller because you tied the original tallest down, it'll make the new tallest one grow faster.

As for the topping, I just randomly topped different spots like 2 weeks before i even considered LST. So half of the branches tied down were actually from topping yes. One of the plants ( in the last post the pic of the 2 , its the one on the bottom) has every single branch LST'd tho so topped or not, all branches got tied down.. the other plant only has 4 tied down I believe.. You can kinda tell the difference from that one compared to the top one in the pic.

The one on the bottom also got topped a little more today..speaking of which they are both on day 32 I believe just for the record..

Once again thanks for the comment!
